Thunder & Lightning and much needed rain on East Coast of Scotland today

^ Same coast, the thunder wasn't too bad, but the last time I saw that much lightning was during a tropical storm in Florida. Mad stuff.
It's a long time since I've seen rain. 33 days anyway. Though I have at least seen some clouds today. Even that was for the first time for about a week.
Rained hard for 20 minutes this afternoon, it hasn't had any effect on the rock hard ground though.
Yorkshire has been officially declared drought status. Nothing much in the way of rain yesterday, still hoping for some overnight, but thankfully cooler tomorrow.

Know that feeling gazcraw77 had that at a friend's BBQ pre covid/lockdown there was 8 of us staying under two gazebos having beers for around a hour
Aside from that has been needed this rain to cool down without the need of a shower or ice bath
In central London at present and we have thunder, lightening & torrential rain which is overflowing grates.

Thanks to all the thunderstorms and heavy rain, the Isle of Man are to cancel their hose pipe ban.
Yesterday was odd, the waterspout tornado thingy dropped some serious water and I'm like 20 minutes away from Edinburgh. lol.
The sky went black, the thunder literally made stuff in the house vibrate and then the rain, fat, heavy rain. Madness.
