Darren Clarke...One of the nicest blokes on the golf tour.

One of the finest golfers on the planet. A genuinely nice bloke too. Makes a change for a nice guy to win something, usually the bad guys get all the glory.

Took him long enough to get his first major, but fair play. He kept it calm this time, saw it out without any mistakes.

Yep a very nice bloke who kept composed through out, and unlikely winner though but a favourited one to say the least.

Dropped two shots on the last two so luckily for him, Mickelson and Johnson also dropped shots but fully deserved and well played.

Congrats to Darren Clarke, who would have guessed it? Wish I'd have had a tenner on him. I don't know what the odds would have been at the beginning but they must have been huge.

His win has got to act as a spur to Westwood, Donald & Co.

Thank Christ the Americans missed out on yet another major.

Fantastic to see Clarke win, I still haven't seen anything like the reception he got at the first tee at the K Club. Nobody deserves it more and he played superbly.
