Lenny Henry was probably the most interesting guest this series, some more unexpected choices. Presumably by the Autumn, they might be doing tentative shows in the normal format.
Back again tonight, with Noel Gallagher as the main guest.
Last one last night already. Odd moments included St Vincent appearing via satellite anyway, Romesh Ranganathan not being a musician, but otherwise good to see Joan Armatrading and Kano, and the previously mentioned Noel was on good form.

Or not laugh

Another series starts Saturday, with Damon Albarn and Emeli Sande as guests apparently.
Finished on Friday with Kylie. Some heavy "I'm here because I've a new album but I've always watched your show honest" stuff this series, and an odd mix with Sting and Nubya Garcia sharing one show, which seemed more that Sting couldn't commit to the whole show rather than that Nubya couldn't find enough jazzers to mention from 30 years of archive.
HOOTENANNY!!! Wink
Ed Sheeran amusingly gave the game away, talking about how Ipswich were losing to Barrow Wink The use of archive clips again suggested someone had been booked and then legged it.
New series starting Saturday night, and apparently they will be back in more of the usual old format.
Finished last night already. Alexandra Palace seems to be a go-to venue (well, in London-centric telly, anyway). Nice to hold over the premise of getting a guest to chat and pick something from the archive. 45 minutes seemed a reasonable duration to make you sorry it was over, rather than 60-70 which often felt like it dragged.
A new series started on Saturday night, to my surprise. They're running a themed compilation series on Friday nights on BBC4 too.
