I'm beginnning to have that opinion now too, I think we need to tackle the Ofcom problem in this country before we start to have lofty ambitions such as Eurotic TV coming to our shores. Eurotic TV has changed their rules like a bloody yoyo over the years, I think the only way you can broadcast this show is with some sort of encryption and that is what I have been saying since this news broke out now over a week ago, if this channel has ambition to come to the UK I think a one off connection fee is the only way we can get round Ofcom rules and regulations.

Not sure were you've got them figures from mate , TVX charge £10.50 a month for 3 channels plus a one off connection fee of around £12 i believe , obviously TVX are paying for the licences , EPG slots , air time etc , for 3 channels and must make it pay at that price or else they wouldn't charge that amount , so surely a company with 1 channel would be able to charge much less than a company with 3 channels like TVX .
Also on the other end of the scale Cellcast charge a fiver a night or £10 per week to just watch 1 channel (BS Xtreme) and seem get plenty of viewers subscribing to the channel .
I'm also thinking the best route to encrption could very well lye with the channel execs at TVX, they have no current live shows, so to include Eurotic TV as part of their nightly package could very well temp more subscribers, this is an idea I have thrown around the forum for a very long time, anyway we are now into week 2 since the news broke out and no news, just speculation. I am pleading once more to the ETV channel Rep or Admin to give us the latest updates bladewave
A couple of you seem to be forgetting two massive facts regarding this encryption/one-off payment idea for a eUrotic nightshow.

One, anyone with an internet connection can watch it for free, 24-7. And two, their nightshow is simply not explicit enough to warrant PPV. If people paid to watch their nightshow, not knowing anything about it, they'd be furious when they saw what they'd paid for.

Yes very true if it was a stand alone channel , but like SB suggests they could use a existing TVX or even a Playboy channel and have it encrypted as part of a existing adult channel package , eUrotic would just be a bonus to the existing adult channel package , eUrotic could just pay rent for air time , Lena live on Sky Ch 917 is doing just that as part of the Playboy package , she just goes encrypted from 11pm - 11.30pm though .
Don't think it will happen though .
At the risk of going into a Scottishbloke-esque paranoia rant, I'm now becoming increasingly suspicious about this whole venture. Neither 'ETV' or this forum's admins are interested in updating us or even confirming whether or not this is going ahead, and even more suspiciously, no one over at the liveshows forum is in the slightest bit interested in discussing it - and bare in mind the liveshows forum has a very dedicated and in-depth eUrotic section.
Was it just 1 big publicity stunt ? , is eUrotic guilty of telling admin a few fibs in order to get it's self a prominent section of the forum were more people are likely view/discuss eUrotic tv just at the time when they have launched a new website ? , if so it's certainly worked , it seems strange to me that if they are soon to launch on Sky why they are not promoting this on their tv/web shows , there is nothing anywhere that i'm aware of other than this forum to substantiate this claim that they are launching on Sky . The silence is deafening from both admin and the eUrotic rep ..
There has been some delay with the new Sky channel as eUrotic TV are having some technical troubles with the launch, but are of course working very hard to resolve the problems. It's not unusual for new channels to have such initial difficulties, but hopefully the eUrotic daytime show on Sky will be broadcasting before very long.

Are they broadcasting via their own frequency on a new Sky channel or using an existing UK service such as a Playboy channel?
