you better pray that man city don't do a keane on him lol
I think Keane was chosen by the owners of Liverpool and not Benitez so he didn't play him to prove he is in charge of the squad.I am chuffed to bits that Keane is back at Spurs! I saw the disappointment in his eyes every time Ramos took him off early and just knew he would be going away! I would have loved Malbranque to have come back as well but having Chimbonda,Keane and Defoe back is awesome.I'm gutted for Defoe and another Cup Final missing injury!
I think the sticking point with Arshavin is he is unwilling to learn French or Spanish and would therefore be an outcast at Arsenal ! Big Grin !

The thing that gets me about this is that Martin Jol & Juande Ramos both came to the conclusion that Keane & Defoe were too lightweight to play together, so unless one of them gets on the Spinach its the same old problem!
I think that is why he has strengthened the midfield with Palacios and kept both Bent and Pavlyuchenko. We should have more strength in the air up front and more support from the midfield for whichever striker does the holding role behind Pav or Bent...hopefully! Big Grin

Keane and Pavlyuchenko could be the next Keane and Berbatov...... maybe.

And yeah it wasn't down to Benitez the whole Keane deal, my mate is a diehard Liverpool fan and he told me the name of the dude that apparantly bought Keane and then sold him later, can't remember it though, but apparantly Benitez told Keane it would be better for him to go back because there just wasn't a place in his squad for him, if my mate is to be believed. And if that is true then Benitez sounds like a pretty standup bloke.

And I don't care if the deal with Arshavin was a problem with Zenit and him, if Arsenal could do it properly in the first place, no problem would of arose :-P.
I just hope that keane fits back into the side again Smile.
Yeh,I respect Benitez for his stand and managers should have total control of their squad and future players. That's what happens when you let 'money bags' foreigners buy your team! I think Keane will slot back in seamlessly, every Spurs fan knows it was the Ramos thing that made him leave.I think he would have been a Spurs player until he retired had Jol been given more time.I just can't wait for the new stadium so we can cash in on the estimated 20,000+ people who want season tickets every year and can't get them.
