How does anyone know that all these gifts actually go to these women? Most likely they give them away to the channel producers, cameraman and other backstage staff. It's a nice little earner on the side without having to pay any tax. The cynic in me suspects the channels approve of this exploitation for that reason. Free gifts for them and their families so I can't blame them.
dont think the channels are involved in the wishlists and its the babes entirely themselves that do it

How do you know for sure? I mean think about it. Let's say one of these women requests a £1000 laptop, and she receives 10. She's not going to need 10 laptops, so she'll give them away. Some I'll go to her family, the other recipients being the people working on these shows. The people in charge of some of these channels seem to like the advertise the fact that these women have wishlists. I think they're getting something out of it.

Ok, confession time. I’ve bought Hannah and Sammi-Jo gifts. I didn’t do it because they begged me to, or because I wanted to feel “special“, and I certainly don’t expect anything in return. I did it as a token of appreciation. In fact, when I mentioned to Sammi-Jo that I’d sent her something, her reaction was “You didn’t have to do that”. Although I do wish they wouldn’t put iPads, laptops etc on their lists, and wouldn’t buy them such gifts myself, if someone does want to buy them then let them. I’m not going to try and argue that there aren’t some sad deluded fools out there who think that they can get somewhere with the girls by sending gifts, but that will happen with or without the wishlists. And for every one of them, there are many more (like me) who send gifts with perfectly good intentions.
In actual fact, I did get some benefit out of one of my gifts. Look at what Hannah is wearing on her feet in these caps Smile http://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.ph...#pid755785
Finally, for those who missed it first time around, here’s what Hannah herself said on the subject: http://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.ph...#pid746954
In theory, a 'gift' is supposed to be something with no strings attached, no quid pro quo, as it were.

Whether this is possible is a matter that has been almost endlessly analysed (deconstructed by such as Jacques Derrida no less). So for example, if there really is absolutely no strings attached then presumably there is no obligation for a simple acknowledgement such as a 'thank you'? Or if the act of giving somehow makes you feel good about yourself, then technically is it something that brings benefit to yourself?

Sorry, just thought I would throw that out there. I guess I think if anyone really wanted to then, what the hell, knock yourself out Big Grin

I second that opinion above
Cali Garcia is in the process of moving, and in some respects her current wishlist is quite sweet - coffee maker, tea and sugar container, vacuum cleaner, microwave, bread bin, set of saucepans......perhaps she should go on The Generation Game!

Or save up and buy them out of her own money? Nope, what a daft idea that is. Silly me. Rolleyes
I think a wishlist shows a lack of class.
