Nothing wrong with the girls from Babeworld getting new employment, and I'm sure they'll be plenty of room for the existing red light girls. Its all about schedules - I'm sure they'll be enough shows for everyone to take part in.

The picture can be a bit clunky sometimes, but not too bad - for a new channel I think they're doing fine. I'm sure any glitches will be sorted out. Looking forward to see the new Red Light channel tonight. Smile
thats the point regen, the existing red light girls arent being seen much and thats what some of us have been saying since bang babes + babeworld are no more. they have all found new jobs on a channel where girls who got the channel started are no longer there apart from a few whats left. when there were jobs on their doorstep these girls didnt wanna know about travelling to bristol where as others travelled and some were local anyway. but soon as there channels went bust then all of a sudden they want to travel to bristol. i understand that these girls are looking for work, but i wish some people would give a bit more understanding to those who got this channel up and running, and i know for a fact some of these girls who had to make way for these new girls are still looking for work. on anuva point when channels went bust it seems that redlight were happy to capture the cream of the crop, but to my knowledge the most popular daytime girl was fernanda and shes on anuva channel, and a popular girl on nights adele also went to anuva channel, so maybe red light had to do with what was left.

You mentioned that first point before, but why would anyone travel when there is a job "on their doorstep"? Of course they'll want to travel to Bristol if that's where the jobs are.

The "cream of the crop" thing has been blown out of all proportion, everyone will have different opinions as to who the best girls are. I think Red Light have done well, Zarwood are guaranteed money makers and I'm a big fan of Rebecca-Jade.

While it's sad some of the original girls had to seemingly make way for the new girls, that's how business works. If the bosses at Red Light have picked the wrong girls, they'll get stung and you'll be proved right.
some are waiting for the 1st zarwood session on rlc. some channels have become stagnant by having the same ladies and no new blood. however sometime you need some of the original ladies. im going to be cynical here it could be down to simple finances, popular ladies get more calls therefore are on most of the time, foxy, and get more money but the station gets more money from callers but sometimes the popular on gets more than whats coming in she does her shift.

i wasnt the original one who made that point about the travel, i think it was rroger when he was talking about corinne. but the point about they couldnt be bothered to travel while jobs were on there doorsteps i understand cos i work 6 mile away from where i live, but when there channels went bust they then get a job which they wouldnt have taken if there channels were still going. what if red light goes bust, does that mean zarwood and co will travel to sheffield to appear on chatgirl, cos if they are the cream of the crop then im sure chatgirl will want them as well, and does that mean local girls like demi scott and lauren daley lose their jobs as well? so im guessing zarwood and other certain girls are always guaranteed jobs even if the channel they are working on goes bust! they can always go to another channel and put some1 else out of work!

Why would anyone change jobs if they're happy where they are?

Put simply, yes! Girls with a proven track record will always be in demand, the same as any other business. If they did go to another channel and one of my favourites was put out of work, I'd be annoyed, but I would understand the decision, as these channels exist only to make money.

these channels exist to make money i agree and these channels as zarwood will also know lose money and go out of business. zarwood have got a proven track record cos they have been on these channels for a while, where as when this channel started they were already in a job ok, while some of the original red light girls had not been on tv before. so by your reckoning then were all the original red light central girls just here to get the channel off the ground, until the girls with proven track records just come in and take their jobs away from them. a few months ago did these girls on red light realise that after their hard work getting this channel off the ground, that some girls with a proven track record would then take their jobs away from them, cos thats whats happened. did cathy and phil say to them, "in a few months time after alll your hard work we will be getting some different girls in ok, ones with a proven track record so hope your ok with that", no i dont think they did. if bang babes + babeworld were still on air would we see zarwood and the rest on red light now? no we wouldnt cos as weve already said, its the travelling, and they had jobs on their doorstep. so all the girls who have been pushed wouldnt have cos phil + cathy wouldnt have any1 working for them, so the majority of these girls who started off on these channels have been used and thats not business its an absolute disgrace!

Not at all, Bang was still in operation long after Red Light started. But if talent becomes available, channels will try and sign them up. They did that even before Bang folded, they hired Michelle Thorne from Elite.

I don't think so either, unless they knew Bang and BW were going to fold Huh

How have they been used? Other girls that Cathy & Phil believe will make them more money became available, so they were hired. It is business, but sometimes business is ugly.

Edit: It's like saying a football team used their star player when a (potentially) better alternative comes along.

yes thats wot i said they never said that to them did they. but the point being AGAIN would the originals still be there if bang babes and babeworld were still on air, the answer is yes they would and every1 knows that so thats why they have been used. employers have got a duty to their employees and to treat them right. this argument is never ending, but the making money point you go on about, theres a day person who is not there anymore who did just as good as the people have been doing on nites. you dont agree with anything and well done for that but there is a way to treat people, and these girls who have been let go deserved to be treated better than what they had been. if you believe that these girls have been treated fairly then nothings going to convince you otherwise, but in my opinion you dont treat people in this way.
Of course we all feel for people who are out of work, it is not a good time to be unemployed. If there's a role available though, these girls have every right to go for it. Needs must I'm afraid - we live in tough times at the moment. If you have to travel to find work, then that is what people will do. The current economic climate forces everyone's hand.

Mellie and Tara are on tonight - they were both of the existing roster. Heather's still had shows, and new signings such as Rebecca-Jade, Gilly Sampson and Lucy Summers are all very good signings. Of course I don't want to see anyone out of work, none of us do. Its tough times, and people rightly feel they need to get work when they can.
