i was right then, jones v reyes announcement is imminent. after he demolished weidman last month and still undefeated it's only right, could have easily given him the jones fight before now though. blachowicz had his chance to make a statement last weekend against 15 ranked jacare but put on a terrible performance so they have gone with reyes it seems. interesting fight jones v reyes is. you have to wonder what would be next for jones if he beats reyes, especially if he beats him convincingly. there just isn't anyone else afterwards. corey anderson maybe since he is now top 5 after beating johnny walker but the jones fight is in february and then he will likely rest for months after. so he would be looking at a very long wait if he gets the shot at jones. he could stay active in the meantime but that would be risky if he was to lose and fall down the rankings. plenty of competition under jones but it's his division. maybe time for him to move up if he beats reyes. see how it plays out in february, looking forward to this fight
I think if jones was to win I would agree there can't be anyone left for Jones at LHW apart from Anderson and if he was to move up to HW, I think his strength and style will probably help him easily clean up the HW division. I would think whether Jones would fight Cormier for the third time at HW is probably pretty much Cormier's call rather than Jones calling Cormier out.
