I normally get stuck with some Indian, that doesn't understand the first thing about what I'm on about. 
I worked out a way to beat their voice-activated system and by shouting "fuck off" I got straight through to someone. He was fucking useless, but I did get connected quickly. Every cloud, I suppose.

Well as you're obviously making alterations to sets, and/or maybe adding more, i thought i'd suggest possible further improvements, if you haven't had this on your radar already..
.. what about some different camera angles now and again? By way of another camera or just having the current one move?
Personally, as i love the office set up, i'd LOVE to see an under the desk camera angle. So when secretary (Angelina!) sits on the chair at the desk, i can see her lovely legs when the camera looks up at them/her. This could be done as a close up (almost POV under the desk) as well as "normal" where i'd still get to see all of her.
Have the desk still at the side, so i can see her as i currently do when she's in the office (which is great), but it will also then give the option for her to sit at/behind the desk without having to move it. You just move the camera (angle).

Yep, we're looking at changing the camera set-up to allow more room for manoeuvre.
I think your best bet is to relocate the studio. You're never going to be able to rival the other channels in their range of sets and operating space unless you move out of that very expensive shoe box!
what has happened to the dayshow today?
Started about 12.50. I have visions of Angelina running late and charging down the street shouting "get out of the way, I've got a babeshow to present!"
