Would you be interested in a babeshow specific torrent server

It raises a point which I've always wondered about - surely download links should only be available to actual members of the site and not the general masses?
I've never understood why it's allowed to be a free for all. Take a semi-popular post with say 12 to 15 thanks - that becomes several hundred downloads usually. For really popular stuff it can get into the high 100's (don't think I've ever had a file that's gone into 1000's). Shouldn't they contribute to this forum rather than leech?

I don't think torrents is the answer personally - too many people will continue to leech and not seed. Happy to be proved wrong of course....

Personally I'd agree. Most people probably just leech vids without actually participating, but at least making them sign-up would be a small encouragement to get involved.
Hiding links from non-members is pretty trivial, and you could even add options like only hiding more recent links, say the last 3 months, and leave older links open.

Doesn't include domain name, it's more an online backup system, although there is some support for web hosting and domains, but I haven't looked into that side of things at all.

One of the newer things they are now supporting is 'owncloud'. I haven't looked into it properly yet, but it looks like a good option for sharing things like vids here (it's quite new to OLS, and they warn it's a bit buggy still, and you have to request your account be setup via support).
It's an open source file sync and sharing option, details about it, including the software if you want to try setting up your own server, here :

Here's one of my old Camilla vids (191mb in size) if you want to test the download speed. I'm getting very good speeds here. Haven't figured out how to share a complete folder yet, if that's even possible, the owncloud option may be the way to go with that.

Its easy enough to make links available to forum members only.
1) Copy/paste your link into notepad or another text editor.
2) take a screenshot of the notepad window
3) Add your screenshot as an attachment to your post
Attachments are only visible at full size if logged in
It does require the member to actually type in the url though

decided to give that online storage place a go even when its back to full price only about £28 quid for 2 years unlimited storage. says they do media streaming but thats something will look at even if i just use it to store files. now if only i could find a easier way of creating files would love a system where it records straight from sky box to mp4 or Mkv and then when it finishes automatically puts it in the cloud so all i have to do is post the link. life would be so much easier lol

You need a spare pc with a TV card, and something like MythTV or XBMC installed.
These are linux based distros, so it should be feasible to hack a script to monitor your recordings folder and upload the new files using your net connection.

I have an old Emprex ME1 box for doing my recordings. This runs an embedded linux, but is hacked to run debian using chroot. I have installed samba and an ftp server to allow me to more easily grab my recordings over my network to get them on my pc for transcoding and uploading. With a bit of work I could probably get a script to upload them automatically. Unfortunately the recordings come in mpg format, at high resolution, typically around 1GB per hour or so of footage, so I still need to transcode to a smaller size. Avidemux has command line versions, so it may be possible to use that to automatically monitor a folder and transcode the files that appear there, then copy the results elsewhere and trigger another script to upload them.

bought that onlinestorage plan currently uploading a 900mb paige video to it to see how fast it is to upload saying about 2 hours to upload using the netdrive windows app will put it in the paige thread see how long it takes people to download
