Are the fanboys partly responsible for the state of the babeshows?

Yeah back in the day when Thatchers Britain existed, they didn't give 2 fucks about late night telly so long as it was after the watershed (they were too busy fucking Scotland over to have anything else on the agenda) and had a warning symbol at the top of the screen for more explicit stuff, you could have easily got away with a babe channel show in the 80's and 90's, only problem back then was that not that many people owned mobile phones or had satellite TV and lot of people still didn't have a landline either so the demand for such a show just wasn't there. Infact the very first Reality Show to hit the British audience was in 2000 when Big Brother kicked off and in many ways that probably pathed the way for the birth of Babestation and the number of clones we now see today unfortunately Ofcom has not allowed them the freedom in which they originally set out to do and with hindsight I think a lot of them wouldn't have bothered starting up this kind of show in the first place if they had knowledge of what the future had in store for them.

I'm sorry but did I grow up in the same 90's as you, what i remember is, film's with swearing dubbed over, violent scene's cut & sex cut out all together

Yes that may have been true on the terrestrial TV that I won't argue with you as you are spot on as far as 90's telly goes to a point. However up until SKY went digital in 1998 they used to broadcast on the 19.2 Astra 1 satellite and just in the same way that SKY claimed to have nothing to do with these channels as they do now you used to be able to pick up all the German porn channels no problem, no questions asked and no ofcom either carrying out investigations on them either.

They picked up German channels which aired softcore versions of hardcore German films (usually with a shit polka polka soundtrack)...

it was as close to hardcore as i got in my early teens (if you dont include the mucky mag i found in the hedge by my school once )

but was no way hardcore!!!!

From what I can remember of the 90s, all you got was soft core crap on fta Sky and think the closest we got to it was in 2005 on Babestation's 'Private Babe'.

To be fair to SKY they really did have nothing to do with these channels and SKY did not broadcast them. The original transponders on the 19.2 Astra satellite were shared between the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden, and those of you with long memories will remember that between about 1993 and 1996 there were five Scandinavian channels on 19.2 that broadcast in what was then the revolutionary format of D2-Mac (had it not been blown away by the coming of digital, D2-Mac was being talked of as the new worldwide standard).

Anyway, two of these five channels broadcast uncut, uncensored, hard-core porn at night not as a porn channel but as part of the normal schedule. I had a D2-Mac decoder (which cost about £200 in those days plus £50 for a card) but you could get hardcore porn and 3.00pm live English Saturday afternoon football.

The French were the same. I remember watching the French D2-Mac output of Canal+ one night in about 1996 and the Saturday night primetime schedule was:

20.00 Film: The Bridges of Madison County
22.00 French League equivalent of Match of the Day
23.00 Hard core porn film
00.30 Cagney and Lacey

Totally different culture over there.

The German channels broadcasting analogue FTA in PAL on 19.2 which showed soft-core porn films at night were SAT-1 (a channel which actually got a measurable audience in the UK!), RTL-2, PRO 7, VOX and Kabel 1, as well as late-night "adult" magazine shows which became a cult among satellite viewers such as "Wa(h)re Liebe" presented by the German transvestite Lilo Wanders and starring European porn star Dolly Buster.

It was absolutely nothing to do with SKY or OFCOM in the same way that they have no jurisdiction over you listening to a French radio station if you still have an analogue tranny with medium and long wave!

Those were the days.....

No, what Sky charge you for doesn't include any babe channels. If Ofcom stopped the babe channels from broadcasting, the amount you get charged by Sky would still be the same.
