Unusual video download patterns.

Well here's a weird one for you. I uploaded a set of 5 videos to send via PM to two members on here, with strict instructions not to pass them on.

4 of the videos have exactly two downloads each, so that means both members have download them. but one of them has registered 56 downloads. and considering I trust the two people I sent them too.

This then makes me come to only two possibilities.

1. You can't trust there download figures, because of some bug they have.

2. someones hacking the accounts, and posting links elsewhere.

I certainly can't believe it's option 2. So I'm inclined to think that there system is giving out false readings.

Oh, and Dan, as for them getting in touch within two days. That's the biggest joke of the lot with them. I have complained a dozen times about there Mega-Manager not working right 95% of the time. And they have never responded in the last twelve months.

When i think of all the time I've spent pottering around with my spreadsheet collating the stats and now it's all gone to ratshit. Honestly I could kick the muffins from here to Hong Kong and back I could.

Ah well, I will have to find a new hobby now; I think I'll get involved in birdlime's bus timetable thread, that looks like good clean fun.

Another, thing I noticed the other day, whilst browsing through my files on MegaUpload. I still have a few files that are registering 0 downloads.

Well I know for a fact, that I have downloaded some of them myself, as when I dropped on of my hard drives, a few months back, the only place some of the files existed was on MegaUpload. So I downloaded them, back onto my machine as a backup. And yet they still say 0 downloads.

So I guess the figures can give a false impression both ways. You may have more, or less downloads than it says you have.

Funny how these download figures only started showing up wrong, after they updated there system, and started using the new file manager!

Maybe when they update there software again, the figures will start reading correct again.

One thing I can confirm is that the numbers have never actually decreased.

We have now progressed from the situation whereby a sidelong glance at your mouse would register as a download to the current state of affairs where no downloads are being registered at all, and haven't been for at least 48 hours. That's the case for my account anyway; can other MU users confirm this please?

I wonder if they tried to fix the bug and ended up throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Well i can confirm 1 thing, for the past 2 days on MU i've had no downloads of my vids or thats what it's now telling me

Same here. No downloads at all been added to the counts. for the last two days.

Plus all the video's I posted on the forum, on the 20th are reading zero downloads.

That would explain why I have not received any reward points for the last two days.

The Jada vid I uploaded to MU at 7pm on 18 Jan (more than 48 hours ago but less than 72 hours) has had 11 downloads so far when I checked a few minutes ago.

Update on the lack of downloads

It was mentioned by someone else yesterday to me that their MU points are still going up, so i checked mine and yes still getting points up

So its registering something

Just checked a few minutes ago. No more downloads have been made of this or any other file in the last 2 days since I posted the above.
