Unusual video download patterns.

Has anyone else noticed a big increase in video download numbers since Dec 1st.

The stats for my videos (all on Megaupload with the links only on this forum) are as follows:
For the four weeks leading up to Dec 1st the average for the total weekly downloads was 1,749 ie 250 per day.
For the last seven days the total downloads are 6,615 ie 945 per day, almost four times the previous average. On sunday alone there were 1,823 downloads, more than seven times the average.

The big increases are not spread amongst all the videos but are mainly confined to the Babestation ones and in particular to a subset of the Bs babes, mainly Tiffany, Camilla, Daryl and Kandi (although a few others have experienced more modest increases).

Here's a few examples:
Kandi video from 28th March - 215 downloads in the first 249 days to 2nd Dec. Another 145 in the last five days.

Camilla video from 20th September - 157 downloads in the first 71 days. 163 further downloads in the last four days.

Tiffany video from 9th Oct - 96 downloads in the first 54 days. 205 more downloads in the last three days ie more than tripled. There are plenty of similar cases to these.

If anyone has experienced something similar or can offer an explanation I would be interested to hear from them.

With the bad weather, more people could be staying in and using the internet.
Also the megaupload folder manager has changed layout recently, something may have gone wrong with the info perhaps.
I have not noticed any unusual increase in downloads at megaupload or rapidshare.
I usually find that downloads from megaupload peak early after the upload and then tail off pretty quickly.
Rapidshare downloads seem to be much more steady, with downloads continuing for a very long time afterwards.

Is it possible that some of your videos have been posted elsewhere by someone?

It did seem to coincide with the change in design on Megaupload but I sort of ruled out a fault in their system as the big increases were not random but concentrated on a subset of the women and over a wide spread of upload dates.

The latest babe to experience a download frenzy is Rosie eg three videos from 11th, 18th and 19th of March. On monday they had 85, 84 and 81 downloads. By wednesday they had 225, 232 and 233 downloads, again an almost tripling in two days on videos that are almost nine months old. Other videos for other babes on those dates did not have any increases. Something fishy is going on.

I tried googling a couple of the download links but only had hits from this forum. They could have just posted it as "download link" as most people here do, so it wouldn't have registered on the search. Even if the links were present elsewhere I still would be gobsmacked at so many downloads over such a short period.

That has happened to me a few times now but like skate says may of been posted on another forum, mine was and went from 200DL,s on 3 split links to 1,500DL,s within a week but they all earned me brownie points on MU so no problem for me.

That must be a helluva popular forum given the increase in numbers, maybe we should all be posting there instead.

My theory is that Babeshow studies have been added to the Japanese secondary school national curriculum with Babestation this term's study choice.

Its some crazy fanboys doing multiple downloads.

could it be that if a download is failed and thus gets restarted thats boosting the numbers up as some people would just restart the download anyway.

I wonder if watching it, or just part of it, on their megavideo flash player counts as a normal download?
