The Chiefs have under performed all season but they seem to have changed gear in the play offs. They are good enough to be superbowl loser.

The magical season for the Texans comes to an end. They had no answers in the 2nd Half. Baltimore will host the AFC Championship for the first time since the 1970-1971 season

It's going to be tough for the winner of the Chiefs/Bills game to win in Baltimore. The crowd was super loud.

The Ravens dominated inmost categories other than sacks, as Jackson took 3 including back to back ones at the end of the half.
The Texans were restricted to 213 yards of offense, & only 38 on the ground, they managed only 10 1st downs to the Ravens 20. The Ravens had 20 more plays on offense as they controlled the clock, with 229 yards rushing on 42 carries.
The Texans had 11 penalties which often put them in 3rd & long.
Jackson had a great all round game with 16-22-152-1 td 0 int, connecting with 8 different receivers. He carried the ball 11 times for 100 yards & 2 TD's, at statement game for him & their defence as a whole.

Yeah maybe the bye week break initially had an effect on the Ravens that made that first half interesting before normal service was resumed.

I'm more and more impressed with CJ Stroud though, who wasn't helped on the constant Baltimore pressure. He's a star in the making.

The San Francisco 49ers scraped through in the end to a 24-21 victory that owed a lot to their defensive unit.
That being said it was a game of clutch moments and the Purdy-McCaffrey combo ultimately condemned the Packers to a narrow defeat.
The winning touchdown coming late in the fourth quarter. Jordan Love and his noble efforts for the Packers denied at the death.

The Ravens gained momentum as their match progressed through the second half.
Undeterred by a punt return shock to the system they pulled clear and shut the Texans out in clinical fashion from that point on.

Purdy was not his usual accurate self, & was lucky to not get picked off early in the game, that was just one of a series of missed chances, including a missed field-goal. That kicking issues was expected pre-game with both rookies having their challenges during the season, Carlson missed a league high 5 extra-points. The Niners missed a Field-goal late in the 2nd quarter which resulted in only a narrow 7-6 lead a the half for the home team.
The game exploded in the 3rd qtr as the lead changed hands 3 times. Trailing by 4 Purdy produced a Montana like drive culminating in CMC powering into the endzone for the go-ahead score.
Love had little over a minute to drive his team into field goal range to take the game into overtime, but he made a bad choice trying to make a play & was picked off by Greenlaw for the 2nd time & the Niners ran out the clock to advance to the NFC Divisional Championship.
Love had looked the most assured of the 2 QB's as his O-line gave him the protection to find 9 different targets. Purdy had his options reduced as Deebo left the game in the 2nd qtr with a shoulder injury. The last time that happened SF lost the 3 games he missed.
Both McCaffery & Jones had 100 yards rushing, the later was the 1st back to do so for 51 games against the Niners.
Despite being way off his best Purdy orchestrating a come-from-behind victory will give him confidence for the next challenge.

Yeah you could almost feel the pressure of the franchise on the Deebo-less Purdy coming down to the ultimate game winning drive but he produced when it really mattered. Maybe helped by the Packers in the end, missed kick and some questionable play calls, Love doing a Favre tribute throw across body when he didn't need to sealing it. But boy did they make it so uncomfortable for the Niners. I somehow think it'll be more comfortable against the Bucs/Lions but you never know with playoff football now lol

Packers fans should really see the glass half full rather than half empty on their achievement this year. Future looks bright.

^^ It does seem a little unfair on the rest of the League when they've had Favre, Rodgers & now Love, some teams would be happy about having one or 2, but to get 3 of such quality concurrently is unheard of.
I'm maybe getting carried away putting Love in the same bracket as the other 2 legends, but he looks to have the potential to a long successful career.
