Tubs came through his poxy qualifier, then went on to whitewash Ronnie O'Sullivan, for which I'm sure the crowd were so chuffed. He's got Zhao Xintong in the last quarter-final (Robertson, Allen and Trump already through to the semis).

Zhao v Tubbs was 2-2, but with runs of 73 and 88, Zhao beat Tubbs 4-2

Semi Finals:

Mark Allen v Neil Robertson
Judd Trump v Zhao Xintong

Neil Robertson won the argument with Mark Allen 4-1 on the green baize. Mark Allen's was the loudest voice complaining about Neil picking up 500k for winning the last time he was in Saudi. Neil really seems to put it up in Saudi; if he wins tonight's final he'll pickup another 250K, but even if he loses, the £125K he'll get will really stick in Allen's craw, as Allen only got £100K for winning the English Open.

Judd v Zhao was a bit closer this time. Zhao made a 138 break to level at 2-2. Judd responded with a 107 to go 3-2 up, but Zhao won 2 closely fought frames to win 4-3.

So it's Zhao v Neil tonight. This is the tournament with the golden ball, so last chance for someone to make a 167 break and make the $1million prize for this year.

A different player has won in every tournament this season and the trend continues as Zhao gives Neil a 5-2 thumping. No golden ball 167 break, but Zhao made a 131 total clearance in the 4th frame and a 134 total clearance in the 5th frame. A fantastic performance from the World Champion!
