Thunderbolts*

For the most part I really enjoyed this. It is definitely better than the last Captain America movie, I think Florence Pugh was excellent as she always is in pretty much every role she plays, David Harbour was also great and brought a comedic element to this movie, overall an enjoyable but not the best entry into the Marvel Universe. There's also a nice after credits scene that sets up the possibility of where these characters go next. 7/10

Superman (2025)

The first film in the DCU and it's amazing!!!! David Coronswet is fantastic as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachael Brosnahan is brilliant as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult is an excellent Lex Luthor

Special shoutout for Sara Sampaio who is hilarious & fantastic as Eve/Miss Teschmacher which is her Hollywood debut. There are a couple of fantastic cameos, one which sets up an upcoming DCU tv show and another which sets up the next DCU film which is out next year

There are 2 fun post credit scenes, one partway through & one at the end of the credits

9/10

KPop Demon Hunters 9/10.

Went in thinking it would be silly, actually goes deep, well written, brilliantly animated and the music is fantastic.
Even if you don't like or haven't heard KPop, it's worth a look, puts Disney to shame imo.

M3gan 2.0

I almost feel slightly ashamed to say I actually thought this was really great! Rolleyes.

I really liked the first M3gan movie but the sequel has gone balls to the wall, they've up'd the action, up'd the comedy and up'd everything in scale and special effects!

Admittedly I did enjoy this with a 4 pack of Guinness lol but I still found this thoroughly entertaining. Megan definitely has the best dialogue throughout the movie.

Amelia played by Ivanna Sakhno (Star Wars: Ahsoka) was really good and a great addition to this franchise imo Wink.

I had little expectations going into this because of some of the mixed reviews surrounding it but I was glad I enjoyed it more than some of the critics did.

I was pleasantly suprised and was never bored and I'd watch it again! 7.5/10

Superman (2025)

Orders of magnitude better than anything produced in Snyder’s DCEU.

But still oddly hollow, imo. Might be me. Maybe I’m just desensitised after 346 comic book superhero movies?

Nothing wrong with it. Good, in the moment. Instantly forgettable afterwards.

Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Fantastic Four finally debut in the the MCU & it's a fun and very entertaining comic book, film with plenty of humour, but also plenty of emotion as the Fantastic Four attempt to save Earth-828 from Galactus

It looks amazing & the special effects and action sequences are brilliant. The 4 actors who play the Fantastic Four, including Pedro Pascal & Vanessa Kirby are all brilliant as is Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer

There are 2 credit scenes, one partway through that sets up Avengers: Doomsday & a fun one after the credits
