Writer Ed Neumeier had this to say about the new Robocop sequel:

Neill Blomkamp and his screenwriter Justin Rhodes have done a pass on the script we were writing on and they’re doing another one. It is a slightly different concept in some ways than we were originally doing. I don’t want to talk too much about it…but we’re hopeful and I think Neill really really wants to make a good RoboCop movie. His idea is that it should be the proper Verhoeven, if Verhoeven had directed a movie right after RoboCop. I think that’s what he is trying to achieve and I hope he does. We’ll see what happens next."

There’s even talk of having “augmented humans” as villains and they would like to bring back Peter Weller.

Warner Bros have set the date for Christopher Nolan next movie snd has been given the date of July 2020. Also Warner Bros have started work on developing Aquaman 2 and Detective Pikachu sequel is already in development.

Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining (which IMO was one of the best horror movies ever made and a menacing performance by the brilliant Jack Nicholson), has a new release date of 8 November 2019.

The film, based on Stephen Kings 2013 novel of the same name and stars Ewan McGregor as a grown up Danny Torrence who still experiences his psychic 'Shining' powers, will focus on him being drawn into a sinister plot involving a cult.

Directed by Mike Flanagan (Hush, Ouija: Origin Of Evil and Netflix' s The Haunting Of Hill House).

This has a lot to live up to considering how good, I thought, the original was and with that one being Directed by Stanley Kubrick ( incidentally it was rumoured Stephen King was not a fan of Kubricks version), we'll have to see if it can become a great film like the original.
