9.1 Back yet again, this time vaguely around the Malvern area, moving between Dudley and Kidderminster and trying for the Top Gear job with a skit at Shelsley Walsh, followed by a visit to the Morgan factory.
SC's GDO
9.2 Claiming to visit "Wallace and Gromit country", which she seems to feel is YORKSHIRE, she does check out cheese in Wensleydale, and see plasticine models at that Bradford Media Museum, as well as Hardraw Force waterfall, but when she claims never to have heard of Saltaire before, you have to wonder.

2 - The beautiful coral archipelago of Los Roques, a rum distillery involved in prisoner rehabilitation, helping an anaconda and a caiman/crocodile, visiting the mighty Paco Bolivar by cable car, and also falling foul of the authorities.
MP - IV
3 - the conclusion sees him head into oil-producing territory, have a lightning watch thwarted by moths, find a huge desert, visit a chocolate production process, then reluctantly return to Caracas for a carnival. Beauty queens are pressured to get plastic surgery, which I know some here will feel is the worst news.

A pretty good series overall, Michael accepting (reluctantly?) that the people are resilient, and much of the scenery is staggeringly beautiful. He even mentioned American sanctions (eventually).

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks first to Pascal Confavreux, a junior member of this month's French govt about that country's recognition of Palestine, then later to Stephen Walt about the prospects for Trump's latest doomed peace plan, and also to mark the 6th anniversary of the show.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
More musicians this week, since Lionel Richie has his memoir out, and Renee Rapp is on tour.

Network East - A Trip Through The Archives
As BBC patted itself on the back for 60 years of "South Asian" representation/coverage, they repeated this profile from when it was only 30 years, with Meera Syal providing a potted history which perhaps contrasts with the second 30 years.

The Footage Detectives
Supposedly someone keeps writing and asking for footage of Pan's People; dozens of letters to everyone they can think of at the channel.

Going to the Dogs - Wimbledon Stadium: London's Last Dog Track
The sad story of how nearly 90 years of thin dogs chasing pretend rabbits came to an end because of capitalism.

A Day in the Life of Beryl Cook
Plymouth's famous comedic artist, compared to Lowry and Spencer, and here depicted, among other things, in the crowd watching a stripper. No wonder it was on in the small hours.

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
How Trump is using the "Presidential Libraries" scam, and how almost all other post-WW2 US Presidents have been little better (he didn't mention Biden much).

Upfront
Marc Lamont Hill talks to Norman Finkelstein about the new Gaza peace deal, and how it will take 25 years to clear the rubble (not to mention all the corpses etc - who would want a 21st century Sun City built where there's been dead bodies everywhere?)

12.1 Indeed, back again. Alex Jones must surely have been on before, and Yungblud was a predictable booking. Kyla Harris got the most emotional reaction, though.
PAotY 2025
12.2 Si King gets a good mixture to choose from, rugby legend Joe Marler faces the youngest ever contestant, but author Elif Shafak leads to this week's winner, an actual work of art.
