Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

on a lighter note i did see the huge corona beer promo last night did wonder how much would come back unsold lol

As soon as items such as tinned food, eggs, paracetamol, toilet rolls, pasta amongst other things get restocked to the shelves I understand the shelves are stripped bare again in a matter of minutes. This is the net consequence of panic buying.
Once a few people start doing it desperation kicks in and more join in.
On the bus to work each day I see massive queues formed outside supermarkets even before opening time eager to get in and no doubt clear the shelves.
I have visited 7 or 8 different supermarkets several times this week and been unable to get what I wanted on any occasion. Bad for me yes but I pity the elderly and vulnerable more than myself. I see them gazing helplessly at empty shelves and think 'How on earth has it come to this?'.
It is silly but also inconsiderate and downright immoral.
Not many things make my blood truly boil but panic buying is one.
Peoples true colours emerge at times like these. Too many people are letting themselves and the country down with selfish and wreckless behaviour.
I am utterly appalled.
