Bit harsh Yoda, I agree with a lot of what Fernandez said(although it probably could of been put better) our transfer policy has been very questionable at times and 37mil might of been better spent on 2 quality players than taking a bit of a punt on some unproven players. I would love to know what has gone wrong with Glen Johnson he's been poor for weeks and last I heard he was out with unspecified injuries?? I think we really need to strengthen at the back n go from there, but not a clue who we should buy or how we should go about it. Apologies for bad spelling or grammar, writing this on my mobile on a train n its hard to keep track.

Fair point it may be but the constant whining about a club you allegedly support & telling anyone who cares to listen we should be looking at every young player in Brazil has long passed it's sell by date!

Johnson's out with groin & ankle injuries I think.

We could do with strengthening the squad but it will have to be at the right price whilst we're out of the European Cup, the last 4/5 years are taking their toll on our budget now a days.

We were top at Christmas now we are clinging to top 4 in one of the best positions we have been for years to strengthen and pull away from everton spurs and united, yet we have signed nobody, lost another target and been linked with players who aren't even as good as the players we have loaned out... Wake up.

Every young player in Brazil? I have suggested about 3 or 4 saying they would fit in well, better than half the fucking shit we are buying.. I bet you had never even fucking heard of coutinho before we signed him and there are a lot more players like him in Brazil so don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about..

Tell you what how about shut your mouth for a second, you take you're liverpool shades off and look at the situation for a change for what it is mitchell 1 week of the window left, a tiny squad, 1 world class player, endless injuries, clinging to top 4, dropping points all over, trained with 15 players this week, No targets signed... Looks great mitchell...

Sorry English is not my first Language, People like Mitchell and Yoda seem to think because I am not Born in liverpool I should not be supporting them...

Just to let you know I support Porto aswell as I live there for many years.. Maybe liverpool could take a few notes about Porto's scouting system and Signing players

The first paragraph of the above post couldnt possibly be more wrong or idiotic considering the fact that neither mitchell nor i were born in nor live in Liverpool. I'm not even British. The tone of my post was probably harsh, for that I do apologise, but I stand by the point I was making. My problem, Fernandez, is you're constant criticism of the club, the ONLY club i've supported for practically 30 years. You have rarely if ever posted a positive comment about the club. Instead i read comments like "We're shit" after a defeat away to Hull. Yes we were poor that particular day but we are far from "shit". Then there was the whole Suarez saga over the close season where you were saying he should be booted out of the club, you were throwing your Suarez shirt in the bin he's a disgrace, you didn't care how good he is etc etc. Now you're in love with him again and are worried about him leaving if we don't get 4th. Big change eh?

You make some valid points in your original post i'll grant you that, but the tone you take about the club is out of line and unbecoming of a Liverpool supporter. Moaning and whining non stop. We all know we need to strengthen the squad but is Salah worth 16 million quid?? Have you seen much of the player?? Perhaps, just perhaps it might not be the worst thing to have lost out on that one. We need to strengthen both fullbacks and at CDM. I think we have enough in the forward areas for now. How about holding your tongue and seeing where we are squad-wise on Feb 1st and where we end up come May. We have consistently progressed under Rodgers and, given the situation we were in around October of 2010, we are in a very very healthy state under FSG. We were in a far far worse situation then, as were we in the dark days under Souness circa 1992-93-94. Do you remember them days?? Finishing around 8th I think, behind teams like QPR, Norwich, Wimbledon. We are a progressive side at the moment. We never had any hope of winning the Premier League this season. Yes we were top on Christmas Day but it was only on goal difference and there were just 3 points separating the top 5.

I'll end by saying this...Here's a novel idea, pick ONE club to support. And support them 100%, no matter what.

Well the first paragraph where i said about not being born here is what it feels like by the way people like mitchell treat me and speak about me on here. And I do post positive things about liverpool on here all the time, just seems as when i do people ignore it or choose not to see it then wait for me to make a negative post and decide then to give me shit like now. I did not ever say anything bad about you or Mitchell before yesterday, i did not know u have a problem with me Yoda, as for that Mitchell he has always target me on here and says crap to me so i was expecting him to say more shit to me, i dont like him at all.

Sorry that if some of my word choices is wrong but english is my second language. Also I will say i am sticking by my view that against hull we played "shit" looked like we turned up and already had the game won and could not be bothered. I will say the same about the first half at Villa, rodgers is also guilty for disrespecting villa for the team he picked with no midfield.

I have seen Salah play a few times in europe and if our club value Allen at 15m Borini at 11m Aspas at 8m then yes I would say Salah is worth 16m We were very lucky to get Coutinho and Sturridge so cheap, we cant get every player at knock down prices like we seem to expect.. We almost lost coutinho to Southampton before we signed him.

Our team lacks top quality, take out Suarez and we have an aging Gerrard not at his best and then its not very impressive. As for Suarez leaving in the summer I would not mind if we sold him and spent the money well to replace him but chances are we would throw it at more unproven players, now that he has stayed and is single handedly keeping us in 4th for now why would i not support him? He is our only hope of top 4 and if we dont get that, the last 3-4 years will be wasted trying to build a squad around him as he will be off. Thats why we need to bring in players for NOW not the future!

As for me supporting 1 team well my English side of my family are from Garston in Liverpool aswell as my mother so that is why I support liverpool as it is on my family, also I lived almost walking distance from Estadio Dragao in Porto and lived there almost half my life and met many great friends there and went to a game every week, this is why i also Support Porto.. how is that going to change my opinion on Liverpool, its irrelevant

You hit the nail on the head there mate. Deals need to be done at the right price. By all accounts we had been scouting Salah for 3-4 months so this means we would have had plenty of time to see enough of him to set a value that we as a club thought the player was worth, which was 10 or 12 million pounds. So the window opens and we bid for the player according to what we value him at. Basel hold out for more as he is their star player and are entitled to try get as much as they can for him. Suddenly Chelsea come in and offer 16 million quid for the player and Basel accept. What do you do as a club? Rival that bid? Then a club like Chelsea offer more and that means you are going to have to pay nearly double the price you value a player at in order to get him. A player untried and untested in the Premier League. No, the best thing to do is walk away. We might not like it but we cant compete with the Chelseas and the Man Citys of this world when it comes to transfer fees.

I'm not overly disappointed on missing out on Salah. We have far more pressing concerns in the centre of the park firstly and in both fullback positions secondly. Our back 5 is a shambles (I include the CDM position as one of the back 5) and if we can shut the door back there then we are as good as any team in the forward half. Hopefully one or two of these problems are addressed in the coming week.

Just think it's great that LFC and the players take time to do these kinds of things for the kids etc
