In the Walker Cup the morning foursomes on Day 2 were tied 2 -2 giving USA a 8.5 - 7.5 lead. GB & Ireland would've been hoping for parity or even a lead going into the singles matches after the dominant USA performance on Day 1.

I'm bemused it's being reported like "his first win since the Masters", as if 5 months is 5 years or something, as if golf isn't highly competitive etc

Well done him, but i'd be amazed if he lost a single night's sleep since the Masters going "when will I ever win again?!"
