I listen to the podcast version of Unspun World. It is a useful listen for global current affairs analysis for sure.

8.10 A best of/round-up, presumably for people who missed any episode or just want to enjoy the journey again. Over watching these many series I have become cynical about editing and presentation. But nice paintings on the whole, can't say other.
Landscape Artist of the Year 2024
9.1 To Dunnottar Castle, in Aberdeenshire, for a new series, where the weather deteriorates as the day goes on. They don't bother with the early bit where they look at all the pictures before the thing starts. A good shortlist, though, and therefore a good winner.

1/3 From (near) Innsbruck, the tone seems less abrasive than in many other series, with all-round-nice-guy Jeff Brazier typical of the general tone. The religious questioning gets a bit random, and reality show folk off the Traitors suggest desperation.
P-TRTTA
2/3 They do walks a bit, but they also visit a hydropower plant, join some weird cult, give Helen Lederer a birthday meal, and visit a refugee hostel place as well.

Storyteller - Looted
1/2 Bringing Back The Gods
The work of the Nepalese Heritage Reclaimation Centre, trying to track down stolen religious bits n bobs, usually from American museums and auction houses.
2/2 Hunting Priceless Relics
As above, but the Cambodians trying to get their stuff back. Douglas Latchford was a point man in the trade of artefacts to the USA, though he was nabbed in 2019 and is dead now.

Never mind policemen looking younger, some of the people checking their life story on this show seem a bit young. Anyway, he was pleased to find lots of London links, then got to check out Jamaica, which went somewhat predictably.
WDYTYA? Aisling Bea
Bea turns out to be a stage name referencing the dad who died when she was a wee babby. She manages to cover the Irish famine of the 1840s, the Easter Rising, the Gaelic League, and finish off on the Blasket Islands. All while heavily pregnant.
