Sad news that James Whale has died of cancer aged 74

remember his radio show in the late 80s on Red rose radio/ Rock Fm was good

I remember his TV shows. Yorkshire TV's 'The James Whale Radio Show' which attracted 1 million viewers. There were lots of girls , including Maria Whitaker and Linzi Drew Big Grin

I remember him more for his TV shows. That on the edge style of entertainment, comedy and late night chat. Good fun back then.

He had cancer everywhere , i feel for him and to survive that for 5 years was unbelievable.

And some bloody good rock bands too!

James was probably a more brash DJ but I think to some he was a breath of fresh air on the airwaves.
