Jimmy White and Ken Doherty both suffered shock defeats this afternoon.
The Whirlwind fell victim to an inspired Alfie Burden who roared to an impressive 4-1 victory.
Meanwhile Doherty was sensationally beaten 4-2 by Charl Jonck.

I only saw a little bit of that Alfie Burden match, but Hassan Kerde had a shot at the pink in the middle of the table to win the frame and played the pink straight to the bottom cushion for safety. He deserved to lose after that.
Dominic Dale seems to be playing well, making back to back centuries.
