Starc was the only other notable contributor, with some late hitting. India made a solid reply, with Gill reaching a half century, after he & his opening partner Rohit Sharma were dismissed, Pujara & Rahane dug in with almost half of the 45 overs bowled being maidens. So far the 3rd wicket has added 11 runs from 77 balls. Australia are strong favourites to go one up in the series, with only one Test to play. Vihari & Ashwin added an unbroken 6thwicket stand of 62. India finished the day on 334-5, surviving 131 overs in all. Lyon bowled 46 overs with 2-114 & Hazelwood had impressive figures of 16-12-39-2. The preparation has been hampered by rain which has affected practice matches.
