He's in the olympic squad aswell mate. One for your diary.

The Fifa world rankings are a joke. Just look at the USA for example, they play teams like Panama and El Salvador and then rise up 9 or 10 places

How can England be fourth? they played 2 semi finals in 22 years

FIFA rankings are calculated over 4 years though, not 22 years.

Ok then, they reached no semi final in four years

What next? San Marino become the No.1 team in the world in 10 years time if they were to win the European Championship? (which hardly likely by any standards, but you never know with FIFA). But to look at it logically maybe we got 4th place because of us consistently reaching the quarter - final stages of World Cups and European Championships. I'd love to know where Chelsea figure in the club rankings. I wouldn't be surprised if they are in 2nd or 3rd place behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. I would say 3rd. But overall I would say Euro 2012 probably has been one of the most entertaining and enjoyable Euros for a long time.
I still think in 2016 when the competition increases to 24 teams the competition will probably won't be as entertaining as this one was since there will be lower ranked teams competiting who shouldn't be there and will produce farcical games and outrageous scorelines. Like for intance maybe Latvia 0 Spain 11.
It might be entertaining to some to people to have a bigger competition, but somweheei fear it will devalue the competition as I feel 16 is about right, but I am suprrised Brazil have dropped out of the top ten places afreer being there conisisterntly for so long. It sounds to me like they have not been given the respect they deserve for their past performances.

Chelsea are ranked 3rd. Barcelona are 1st and Real Madrid are 5th.
