RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 15-11-2025 19:51 I had heard it could be for two years which I would think bring the curtain down on his career. I think it is more than likely that Conor Been could get his revenge tonight. RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 15-11-2025 23:30 Listening to the Benn - Eubank Jnr rematch on 5 live That is going to have people talking for quite a while now. I have sneaking suspicion that all was not well with Chris Eubank Jnr somewhere. RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - Snooks - 16-11-2025 00:11 What was up with Eubank goodness knows. He was so off the pace. Very strange insipid performance. RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 16-11-2025 08:51 ^I have a feeling that somewhere Eubank Jnr will explain what went wrong. If he was carrying any kind of injury it would have showed massively, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it was just nerves that got the better of him. RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 18-11-2025 05:17 Jake Paul VS AJ is confirmed for 19 December in Miami(?) I have a sneaking suspicion that win or lose, AJ will most likely bring the curtain down on his boxing career, there and then, and if that proves to be the case, then I would offer this retrospective of AJ's career. Olympic HW champion (I think to this day there are many who probably still question his medal victory), British, Commonwealth, and European HW champion and a two time world HW champion. I have always wondered after AJ suffered that shocking first loss to Ruiz, if the pathway back should have seen AJ clearing out, regaining and defending both the British & European titles before re - matching with Ruiz and regaining the world title. I think he would have been far stronger mentally. the last four wins he had over Franklin, Helenius, Wallin & Ngannou in the last year or two, should have gone some way to re - stablishing a far stronger case for that fight with Fury which I think would have sold out any arena, anywhere in the world several times over, but the demolition job by Dubois pretty much put any chances of that fight ever taking place, and I wonder if both Frank Warren and & Eddie Hearn will realise in years to come to regret, just what a massive opportunity was missed. I think AJ himself would probably make a good HW boxing pundit for DAZN should he retire after the Jake Paul fight But has this fight cost AJ his legacy in boxing in any way? Gut instinct tells me Usyk relinquished the title pretty much in the fact he isn't happy about how the WBO does things. There is talk that he has a back injury but has been seen allegedly partying. Turki has been suggesting he wants AJ to fight in February and also trying to get AJ - Fury set for September or a possibly trilogy fight between Usyk - Fury, but I can't see Fury even wanting that fight either. As far as the AJ - Fury plan, I think that particular boat has sailed long ago and he should gauge just how much public interest there is now for the contest, if he had got involved in boxing ten or fifteen years ago when both were at their peak, then maybe yes, but now? I'd say there is probably around 40% interest in it. Who would be Fabio's first defence? |
