RE: US Election & Presidency - lovebabes56 - 04-07-2025 07:12 Hmmm I wonder where He got that idea from?..... RE: US Election & Presidency - Charlemagne - 06-07-2025 10:20 Rescue efforts are continuing this morning after the devastating flash floods in Texas yesterday. The search is underway to find dozens of missing people. Trump's in Texas, he's playing golf there. RE: US Election & Presidency - skully - 06-07-2025 12:40 Don't tell anyone, but I don't think Trump cares that all those people have died. Climate change isn't real either remember ![]() RE: US Election & Presidency - Tumble_Drier - 08-07-2025 23:25 Trump policies finally bringing growth... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c98jng7j1llo RE: US Election & Presidency - southsidestu - 12-07-2025 13:59 RE: US Election & Presidency - skully - 12-07-2025 14:45 The numbers, you have lots of professional economists saying this is bad, but the white house, known to be oh so truthful says different, hmm, who to believe. I do wonder just how governments (ours included obviously) end up having such fucking useless number crunchers making economic choices for a country, when clearly much smarter people are telling them it could lead to x and y happening. Madness. This bill there, brexit here, fucks sake. Economy cripplers. RE: US Election & Presidency - Tumble_Drier - 12-07-2025 15:01 Most Americans think irony is a metal leg joint... ![]() RE: US Election & Presidency - skully - 24-07-2025 15:18 I hadn't watched South Park in years, but was curious after seeing this https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/south-park-donald-trump-satan-paramount-b2795058.html Watched the episode and I have to say, it was funny and the biggest fuck you. Their channel, Paramount, might be a little angry with them, seeing as this was right after signing a new deal with them worth $1.5B over five years, which was just beautiful timing. Trump may totally lose it if he watches it, let's just say they make some anatomy jokes. Context of why this means something, Trump sued Paramount over a 60 Minutes piece, they settled for $16M (+?) and it just so happens they, Paramount, are the process of doing a deal with Skydance that Trump could kill, so as well as paying up, they cancelled Colbert's top rated late night show, because apparently it was losing money...and wasn't at all due to the deal and appeasing Trump who hates the guy because he calls him out with humour, like most other late night hosts do, it was about money...alright. Colbert's response to being cancelled was good imo, said what he needed to, but then Jon Stewart stepped it up to another level, even though he's also on a Paramount channel. lol. Comedians saying it like it is, while their bosses bend the knee. What a world we live in. South Park going in with an AI advert for Trump at the end was special. RE: US Election & Presidency - Goodfella3041 - 24-07-2025 19:27 Love South Park. Smartest show on TV. They get away with more than most because they are an “equal opportunity offender” — no one gets a pass. They have skewered lefty celebrities like George Clooney, Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn; mocked political correctness, virtue signalling and cancel culture at every turn; satirised environmentalism, transgender issues, and gentrification; and portrayed gun control activists and race campaigners as naive and sanctimonious. So they can hardly be tagged as soft-on-liberals. They’ve previously mocked Trump through his metaphorical South Park avatar: Mr Garrison. If they now go after him directly, well I guess that’s just because … it’s his turn! And I love the fact that they’ve portrayed him with the same style, voice and mannerisms that they previously only used for … Sadam Hussein ? (As for Colbert, I absolutely believe his show was losing money. The whole late night talk show format was already running on fumes. If you give the middle finger to half the country — every single night! — and then divide the other half of the market with two other talk show hosts who are doing the same thing… then you’re gonna lose money.) RE: US Election & Presidency - Tumble_Drier - 24-07-2025 21:19 I heard today that an obnoxious Orange racist had died and began to celebrate, then I found it was only Hulk Hogan and went back to what I was doing. |
