Mark Allen's rotten form in ranking tournaments this season continued as he went down 6-3 to Kyren Wilson. Allen will now not be able to make the top 12 for the Tour Championship. He will have to do what Kyren did last year, and turn his season around in the World Championship.

I thought if anyone would withdraw from the tournament and let Carter in through the back door it would be Bingham, who's been moaning to the press about losing people close to him; but Bingham turned up and he was looking like he would get his revenge on Robertson by going 4-2 up. However, the Australian won the last 4 frames in a row to win 6-4.

Mark Williams has been complaining about his eyesight recently, but it was good enough for him to beat Ding 6-2.

Mark Selby carried on his consistent season form, beating Si Jiahui 6-3.

Good ol' Robbo, beating the Beetroot again Big Grin

Judd made 2 more centuries in his 6-2 demolition of Lei Peifan, taking his total for the season to 88. Just 12 more needed to reach 100 and the £100,000 bonus. Lei could have delayed Judd's victory by at least one frame if he didn't miss an easy yellow in the 8th frame when it looked like he had the frame won.

Tubbs beat Hawkins 6-4. Tubbs was worried he might drop out of the top 16 when he loses his ranking points for the winning the Players Championship and the Tour Championship in 2023, but sadly it looks like he's going to be playing at the Crucible at the World Championship without having to qualify.

To give him his due, he'd only bloody qualify anyway. Let someone else have the chance.

It would've helped the cause of Chris Wakelin and Wu Yize greatly in their attempts to enter the top 16 in the 2 year ranking list to avoid playing in the qualifiers for the World Championship if they had won today.

Chris Wakelin lost 6-5 to John Higgins in a thrller. Higgins cleared the colours to win the last frame on the pink. Xiao Guodong made a decisive 73 break in his deciding frame against Wu Yize to beat him 6-5. It was the first time in the match Xiao was in the lead. Wu Yize will have another chance in the Tour Championship. Chris Wakelin misses out on the Tour Championship to the relief of Si Jiahui who makes it despite his bad run in the second half of the season.

The first quarter final, between Mark Williams and Kyren Wilson, is on tonight.

Higgins turned it on like Robbo the other day, 4-2 down to lead 5-4. Wakelin was really close to pinching the decider, one risky shot too many and Old Man Higger (!) got it done.

Thought Mark Williams was doing well when it was 3-3, but Kyren must have surged thereafter to win 6-3.

Neil Robertson looking like he's back to his best as he brushed aside Mark Selby 6-3. The semi final between Neil and Kyren is on tomorrow evening. It should be a cracking match Big Grin
