I get the feeling that middle America or Murica would be put off by Newsom being a California Liberal/Coastal Elite, he is portrayed in the media as the mirror image of De Santis, full steam ahead on progressive policies.
I would expect him to run & i would imagine Whitmer, Shapiro, Buttigieg, Beshear, Moore to be in the mix.
The first three would be the strongest, Buttigieg the youngest would have a good next generation of leadership image & is very strong one to one, if you see him on Fox he holds his own really well & did video for a YT channel where he debates 25 undecided voters & is pretty convincing when he speaks. However one big problem for him was when he ran in the 2020 primary he was less popular with black voters than Trump.
Whitmer & Shapiro are both Governers & can pitch themselves as D.C outsiders, Michigan & Pennsylvania are both in the top 10 states that match the US demographically as a whole not just on race but age, education, income, diversity of occupation etc, as well as being crucial battleground states.
Of course after goin 0-2 the Dems might be wary of picking another female candidate

Probably will be something like 10 years before we'll see another female candidate by either side. Mind you - we could always send Liz Truss or Mad Nad over!

Going to be a very interesting Day 1 - he'll have a lot (Or a fair bit to be precise) on his plate to deal with and I don't think he'll find the time to speak to Zelensky.
My guess he'll be far more inclined to do a deal with Putin than Zelensky and pushes Zelensky into a corner where he has to accept it.

Sorry to be the party pooper but the two term limit is in the consituiton, in order to repeal it it would need to be approved by 37 states with a vote going through both house of their legislatures & I would also assume not being vetoed by the states respective Governor. As well as going through congress.

I saw that some in the Democratic Party feel the need to educate voters on how the system actually works. Which does hurt when it comes to their image of being the "Elitist" party

It's not that nobody cares, I really think it is a lack of awareness of consequences of our actions. It's more about the cultural divide here, so a lot of people are too wrapped up in those battles over WORLD altering problems. Besides COVID and Climate Control are seen as hoaxes to some
It's all about party identity politics and making sure the other side doesn't win.
There's been a shift in the perception of each party as well. You guys probably have a better understanding of how they come across than we do
Both parties run on problems, but don't always want to fix them.
Who can pounce on the problems and profit from them
As long as there is racial/gender tension, they feed into long term goals of the Parties
