Meanwhile an ultimately tiring Ireland succumbed to a 26-13 defeat to The All Blacks in Chicago.

Today Ireland clinically dispatched Japan 41-10 in Dublin.
At Murrayfield The All Blacks powered into a 17-0 half time lead only for Scotland to produce a barnstorming fightback to level at 17-17. But New Zealand found a try and a penalty late on to claim a 25-17 victory.

England eventually drew clear of Fiji in an entertaining contest. The Red Roses scored the opening try but got hit by two tries and a penalty to trail 7-13.
A crucial response before half time enabled England to lead 14-13 at the break. In the second half England gradually opened up a lead and the bench players came on to see England stretch away to a 38-18 win.

Italy claimed a superb 26-19 win over Australia this evening while World Champions South Africa overcame France 32-17 in Paris.

Over in Cardiff Wales suffered a bruising 52-28 loss to Argentina this afternoon.
The Pumas ran in 7 converted tries with Wales scoring 4 tries of their own.

Still feels a bit numb watching that second half performance by Scotland second time around the most effort I've seen Scotland provided against any all blacks side in my life so far

England have completed a 33-19 win over The All Blacks at Twickenham. The Red Roses scored four tries to three for New Zealand but that does not tell the whole story of the match.
The All Blacks stormed into a 12-0 lead with two tries in a few minutes of the first quarter of an hour. England eventually found some momentum though and responded with three tries and two drop goals to claim 25 points without reply to lead 25-12.
Ben Earl then got sin binned with 65 on the clock and New Zealand went over for 25-19.
But the England bomb squad did their thing forcing errors from The All Blacks. A penalty followed by a late Roebuck try sealed a famous victory.
Ten in a row for England.

Wales survived a nervy affair against Japan with world ranking positions on the line affecting strength of pools in the World Cup of 2027.
A last ditch penalty sealed a 24-23 win for the home side in Cardiff.
