I've recently found out that the Sunset's sex establishment licence was transferred on 11 April last year and new owners are apparently planning significant investment and reconfiguration of the premises in 2024.

Interesting news, especially as the place was 'reconfigured' not that long ago, during lockdown. By the way, do you know anything about La Capannina. which is literally just around the corner? I saw a news item saying it had applied for an adult license.

I believe it's a renewal of the licence, not a new application, although La Capannina hasn't operated as a sex establishment for some time and probably isn't going to now. It's been some kind of regular night club for years. Maybe they are waiting for someone to make them a suitable offer for the business and being licensed as a sex establishment adds to the value. It's still odd that they pay the swingeing annual fee and then don't use the licence for anything but there you are.

It might not be the end. If someone else is willing to takeover the premises and apply for a new licence the club could possibly continue

Had a mate visiting from Korea who was all about finding a club like 신림줄넘기—those fun karaoke strip clubs with good vibes, not just the usual lap dance setup.
