RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 03-08-2025 11:29 Have to say I think the Leeds game is going to prove quite the difficult one to predict, and might end up being the one result that will determine everyone's position on opening weekend. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Charlemagne - 07-08-2025 21:35 A fun look at predictions as the new session approaches. I'm expecting a more productive year this time around. The last time there were too many teams who ambushed me, as who would have expected Forest and Brentford to do so well, and Spurs & City to do so badly. So how to improve this year. Well I could just go for the top result for games, the boring 1-0 score for all the games. Maybe we should record this for a base line. Another devious way is to find last years winner. Post exactly the same predictions as him, and then make one change at the end of the session. But he may have a bad year and that would mean that you'd do the same. But in reflection I'll probably do the same as last year. Work it out logically, only to find that my prediction gets blown out of the water by some late penalty awarded by Mr Magoo. ![]() I am making one change this year, I'm waiting till nearer the match. Then I can see who injured, who's playing in the Africa cup and who's been suspended. So the best of luck every one, and may the best man win..... me ![]() RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 08-08-2025 05:31 Hedging your bests is a good tactic until you get am'bush'ed... RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Boomerangutangangbang - 15-08-2025 20:00 Good luck to all players, old & new ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League Predictions opener tonight. Of course they've saved the best till last in the week 1 fixtures with Super Leeds hosting Everton at the fortress Elland Road on Monday Night. ![]() I'm already feeling extra predicting pressure with my team back in the top flight. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Charlemagne - 16-08-2025 08:46 I will have to review my predictions if all the matches are going to end with 6 goals. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Regenerated - 16-08-2025 10:02 Commiserations to the two players who had 3-2. We saw last season that a lot of late goals changed someone's results. Changing strategy might be a good tactic if the trend continues. ![]() I thought it was a fantastic game to start the season and the competition. Keeps the predictions challenging. I can see the next round starts on Friday aswell, 22nd August - so I'll definitely give you all the next list on Monday evening to save time. If I can't do the table aswell by Monday, that will definitely be up by Tuesday afternoon. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Regenerated - 19-08-2025 11:27 Second round fixtures and first round results and table now all up in the main thread. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Regenerated - 22-08-2025 00:22 There's been a very different array of joker selections in week 2 so far from what we saw in the first round. There, the jokers were spread out across more of the matches where here, a lot of players seem to be choosing more of the same matches for their bonus point opportunity. I think this round is harder to predict than the first week. I can see lots of draws in this line-up where we could kind of see clearer winners in the first list. Of course it doesn't necessarily work out like that though. ![]() As the season progresses it will be interesting to see how the predicting methods may vary from week to week. Thanks for all entries so far - keep them coming. I'll drop the "last call" reminder later this morning, probably around 8am - 9am before I go to work. ![]() RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Kingsmind - 22-08-2025 18:22 I actually think the predictions was harder in the first week then the second week , i think i have got a great chance of doing well here , i am really happy with what i have done and so far really enjoying these predictions , which should stand me in good stead for doing well in the table if i am enjoying it. I can see some logic, Wolves are a bit meh & then there's Leeds, in total all players have predicted a combined 52 goals for Arsenal & just 8 for Leeds....3 of which have been predicted by lovebabes56, who is an absolute legend in my book. ![]() |
