RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - SecretAgent - 26-05-2025 08:01 A big thankyou to Reg for another excellently run competition. I’m well pleased with a 6th place finish and to have led the competition (okay only for the first round) and to have managed to keep being competitive throughout the season. Next season will see my mighty Leeds enter the fray so hopefully one of us will win the title. Oops got to go now - 2 of my pigs have floated away. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Charlemagne - 26-05-2025 08:16 Baywatcher fully deserved the title this year, so well done to him. And thanks to Regenerated in running the contest again this year. It's takes a lot of work and commitment fully deserves all our appreciation. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - littlebig - 26-05-2025 11:37 Big thankyou to Reg another well run comp this season and well done Baywatcher great points tally to win. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Boomerangutangangbang - 26-05-2025 13:20 Thank Reg for pulling that together so quickly & concisely, & for your endeavours throughout the season culminating in what we have come to expect, yet another successful comp, I'm sure I can speak for every player it is greatly appreciated. Congrats to baywatcher on your title in a season that has felt more difficult to predict than others. I believe you started playing the same season that I did, & you have consistently occupied the top 6 & deserve your win. Commiserations to our runner-up circles_o_o_o another competitive player year on year, keep knocking on the door & you must surely breakthrough in the future. Personally I've loved every minute of the league this season & I intend to reflect on it in depth in a post at some point. Importantly I will hopefully see most if not all players back next season, there's always a great friendly rivalry, but it is not a closed shop, the more the merrier. I would recommend anyone remotely interested in football to give it a go. My advice for those who do, don't be to hard on yourself, it's a bit of fun & not all about winning, there can only be one, but plenty of enjoyment to be had. Yes it's a league but also measure yourself against past achievements, such as highest weekly score, or seasons points tally. Trying to bag your first joker or gaining the best score in an individual week. One thing I can guarantee is that if I'm still on this forum next August, I'll be taking part in this comp. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - baywatcher - 26-05-2025 14:57 Firstly I would like to thank REG for his excellent running of the competition and all his hard work. I would also like to thank my fellow competitors for a really good hard fought season, and also for your kind comments. I will be back next season looking to defend my title which will be harder for me following my teams promotion, I would like to congratulate Sunderland on their promotion and come on Whitley Bay. So once again thanks, and look forward to next season. RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - circles_o_o_o - 26-05-2025 14:59 Runner-up spot again, but it has been a satisfying climb up from mid table. Even with the jokers falling in my lap for once, baywatcher just never let up with the scoring pressure. Well done on the title, a convincing one at that. Happy to read that you are willing to keep going with the running of the competition, regenerated; from a player's point of view it feels like a professional operation with plenty of communication about what's going on, it's safe to say it's in good hands. I do hope all the familiar names will be back for the new season, but also I would encourage anyone who has thought about having a go to get in and join the league, you may do better than you think. Now, off to analyse and plan... RE: Premier League Prediction Thread - Chat & Discussion - Kingsmind - 26-05-2025 15:09 Pleased to have finished 7th , i knew i had a great final round which i tried to pull of after a poor round the week before , 6th would've been nice because that's where i was before the poor round i had but anyway as i say pleased at where i have come. I did really enjoy playing it this season. Congrats to Baywatcher for winning it and well done to Regenerated for running it. |
