RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Doddle - 22-09-2025 12:41 Allen's one of them players, only without being irritating with it. Well done them both really. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 27-09-2025 06:40 I didn't get German Eurosport in Santorini, and I've been out of touch with snooker for the past 10 days. Nice to see Zhou Yuelong get to a final. He has great potting ability, but his results had been suffering while he's been trying to improve his all round game. Looks like he's now ready to terrorise all the top seeds. Great win for Mark Allen. Afterwards he was complaining that he only got a 5th of the ranking points for winning this event than Neil Robertson got for winning the Saudi Masters despite winning one more match. It does seem a bit unfair basing the rankings on prize money when it differs so much between events. Maybe the more even points per ranking event based system Allen is suggesting may be a bit fairer. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 16-10-2025 19:54 Bai Yulu crushed Indian Professional Kreishh Gurbaxani 4-0 in Scottish Open qualifying, capping it off with an 81 break. However, she still has to win a tough tie tomorrow against Robbie Williams to qualify for the Scottish Open in December. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 17-10-2025 19:49 Sadly Bai Yulu lost, although she did make a 51 break. Thepchaiya made a 144 break during his 4-1 victory over Chatchapong Nasa. Gao Yang beat Scott Donaldson 4-1. The Scottish Open resumes an 15th December. Next up is the Northern Ireland Open which starts from Sunday (19th October). RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Snooks - 19-10-2025 18:22 Northern Ireland Open underway and already the World Champion Zhou Xintong is out. Beaten 4-0 by home favourite Jordan Brown. Mark Selby comfortably through and Wu Yize scrambled to a deciding frame win. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 19-10-2025 21:06 Judd Trump beat McGill. Wins for Jack Lisowski and Jackson Page. David Gilbert lost 4-2 to He Guoqiang. Final game of the night is John Higgins v Louis Heathcote. Higgins has just won the first frame. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Snooks - 20-10-2025 13:14 Barry Hawkins through after a 4-0 trouncing of Zak Surety. Elliot Slessor beat Fan Zhengyi 4-3. Shaun Murphy blasted past David Lilley 4-0 while Aaron Hill impressively beat Lei Peifan 4-1. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Snooks - 20-10-2025 22:25 In the evening session poor old Bob Milkins kept on taking a one frame lead only to lose in a decider to Mark Allen. Thepchaiya un-Nooh edged out Joe O'Connor in another decider while Jimmy Robertson fended off Stuart Bingham 4-2. Minister of Defence Martin O'Donnell beat Jak Jones 4-3. Just after midnight Gary Wilson finally saw off Chang Bingyu 4-3. BBC Sport website gleefully going into gory details. It was a tough draw, at least he played well (though he probably wouldn't have said that). RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Doddle - 21-10-2025 20:12 Kyren Wilson scraped through a decider against the fearsome, er, Oliver Lines, screened during DMAX's reduced coverage. |
