I accept that starting a round on a Wednesday is difficult and am saddened that some players felt unable to post in time for tonight's opening match. The scheduling of rearranged matches can make this game difficult to keep on top of.
However, remember that anyone who missed tonight's match is still welcome to enter the round in time for the other matches - the next match is Friday night at 8:00. I hope to see the missing players back involved for the remainder of the round.
Just a heads up aswell that I'll be looking to hold the second and final Jokers Wild round of the season soon where a successful correct score can receive 9 points. I'll re-emphasise again that there are plenty of scoring opportunities still to come for all players between now and the end of the season.
I hope that everyone continues to get involved - the more players, the better.

^^ Hopefully the 4 players who missed the 1st match will submit their predictions asap. If there was ever a good time to miss out on one prediction it was last night, unluckily 13 of us got it wrong by predicting a Liverpool win, only The Goat scored points by correctly predicting the Villa 2 - 2 Liverpool score line.

And i predicted Aston Villa to win which feels like a win in some way because i went for the underdog to win if that makes sense , so i didn't get nothing to.
I am just trying to predict a Liverpool loss lol , seeing as they have only lost 1 game and haven't lost for ages , i give Aston Villa a great chance as they are a great team now.

Thought I'd chuck out a few pointless stats, as we are having a break from predicting.
Through 27 weeks we've had 6 different players topping the table, 5 of which featured in the first 9 weeks, the sixth is our current leader.
Most weeks in first place - The Special Juans -10, HLO -9. jumbo_jim & Baywatcher -3
Most consecutive weeks in 1st place - The Special Juans -6 HLO -5
The scoring trend continues to be down from last year, which seems to be having an effect on the general closeness of the league. Places 1-7 are separated by 9 points, places 8-15 by 11 points. Positions are fluctuating week on week with plenty to play. for.
