.The calendar slam dream is over for Serena.
One of the most enormous shocks in tennis history for me.
Absolutely unbelievable.
But Serena has blown up at the US Open before notably against Stosur and Clijsters.

Roberta Vinci has won 5 women's doubles titles from 8 finals with Sara Errani in last 3 years, but she decided to play a lot more singles this year and it seems to have paid off. She or Pennetta will join Francesca Schiavone as an Italian female Grand Slam Champion( Roland Garros/French Open 2010)

That's the thing . At least with Serena you had an interest. You would root for who ever was up against Serena. Being Italians do you think they got up at 5 am and left their towels on their preferred seat for the match?
