RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - HannahsPet - 02-07-2025 11:56 Rachel Reeves with another bright fucking idea reducing Cash savings ISA's allowance from 20k to 5K but not the stocks and shares ISA this will hit pensioners and middle class but be a boom for banks and stock market and you wonder what side she is on https://x.com/MartinSLewis/status/1940124512999100669 RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - dundeered - 02-07-2025 12:58 But, isn’t this how ISA’s started in 1999? At that time you could contribute £3,000 per year in a cash ISA, and if you wanted to contribute more it had to be a stocks and shares ISA up to an additional £4,000 per year, to a total annual ISA allowance of £7,000 per year. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - HannahsPet - 02-07-2025 16:10 prob did but they became equal at 20k each but now wants to change it so it penalises those that are careful with their money but not those that risk it all on the stock market only RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - lovebabes56 - 02-07-2025 20:38 I've never done either I think I'd be broke in a year if I did ![]() reading the comments above - it actually brings back memories of that will reading scene in OFAH when Del Boy finds out what Albert left him. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - The Silent Majority - 03-07-2025 00:49 Reeves in tears today, after Starmer told her she'd have to stay on as Chancellor ![]() RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - southsidestu - 03-07-2025 23:34 After Truss and liberation day, the bond markets once again showing they are King, when Reeves was seen crying, fears that she may be getting the sack/resigning and possibly being replaced by a chancellor that perhaps wouldn't adhere to her fiscal rules the 10 yr yield went up & the pound went down, leading to Starmer & others effusively saying in interviews that she was secure in post long term. From looking dead and burried to the safest politician in Westminster. RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - lovebabes56 - 04-07-2025 07:08 I suspect the position on Reeves will shift again in another 24/48 hrs RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - southsidestu - 05-07-2025 10:28 RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - southsidestu - 09-07-2025 12:14 Whole episode is 45, mins but the segment on tax is 25 mins RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - southsidestu - 16-07-2025 21:19 |
