Did he sound listless in his post-match interview as well? Wink

I see Neil Robertson also got through to the final, so there's a big opportunity for him in the final.

Presumably Slessor will shoot up the rankings from a big payday?

Robbo led 7-2, but Ronnie came back to lead 9-8. But the Aussie got it done in the decider, so well done him Big Grin

I was lucky enough to be in Majorca during the closing stages of the Saudi Masters, and I had German Eurosport on the TV in my hotel room so I was able to watch the snooker live. I saw Ronnie make both his 147s live, as well as the other centuries he made against Chris Wakelin. I was watching the fireworks as Ronnie clawed his way back from 7-2 down to go 9-8 ahead. I, as well as his many Saudi fans, would have liked to see Ronnie go on and win; but credit to Robertson for taking his chances in the last 2 frames and not allowing Ronnie the opportunity to make a dramatic clearance like Judd did last year. Neil Robertson now jumps to no.3 in the World Rankings only behind Judd and Kyren.

Ronnie wins the £147K prize for making 2 147s across the 4 majors. The prize is gone, even before the triple crown events have started. He also wins £33.33K for making two thirds of the highest break, Thepchaiya takes home the other £16.66K for his 147.

At 49, with around 4 months till he turns 50, Ronnie now holds the record for oldest player to make a 147 in a professional tournament. Previously the record was held by John Higgins who was 48 when making a 147 in the 2024 Championship League Invitational against Fan Zhengyi.
