It's a news site for the adult industry, a lot of people from all over will have known her public profile and they are just letting people who may have worked with her know the tragic news.
The statement from her family is posted, there's a nice quote from Rebecca More. I don't think a porn network giving tribute is intended to offend anybody.

what may be offensive on the other hand is The Sun newspaper's front page story of this on their edition tomorrow. lack of respect shown to Carla/Aimee's family & friends
