RE: UK Championships - Doddle - 30-11-2025 21:21 Robbo looked dicey against LeClercq, but pulled away well toward the end. Wu Yize fought off a Michael Holt comeback, thank goodness. RE: UK Championships - Joannis - 01-12-2025 07:23 The matches had been been going to the seeded players thus far, but Pang Junxu's victory over Xiao Guodong bucked the trend. Xiao made 2 century breaks, but those were the only 2 he won as Pang powered to a 6-2 victory. Mark Williams was 5-2 up, but he had to survive a late comeback by David Gilbert before closing out the match 6-4. RE: UK Championships - Doddle - 01-12-2025 21:15 Zhao blasted through comfortably, though Ding had to surmount a short Xu fightback before he too prevailed. RE: UK Championships - Joannis - 02-12-2025 07:35 Due to their changing fortunes, Gary Wilson was now the seeded player and Zhang Anda the qualifier; but nonetheless it's hard to think of Zhang beating Wilson as an upset. Zhang came back from 5-3 down to win 6-5. Following the passing away of his father last month, Perth cueman Scott Donaldson is now playing the snooker of his life. He demolished Mark Allen 6-1. RE: UK Championships - Doddle - 02-12-2025 13:55 Mark Allen was clearly having a rubbish night, so well done Donaldson for making the most of it. The Wilson-Zhang effort felt like a rare case of well-matched competitors. If Ronnie plays as bad as he did in Riyadh, Yuelong will destroy him.Well, Zhou got it done. Selby pretty imperious too. RE: UK Championships - Joannis - 03-12-2025 07:19 On an another day Ronnie could have whitewashed Zhou. Ronnie was losing frames from winning positions, making errors and not getting them won. If you can't finish off frames against players like Zhou Yuelong, they'll make you pay. Elliot Slessor got the upset against Kyren, making a decisive 66 break to cap off a 6-4 victory. Sadly Hawkins beat David Lilley 6-4. RE: UK Championships - Doddle - 03-12-2025 13:34 Hendry described Wilson as "abject", despite winning 4 frames, then Wilson himself blamed the table and claimed even from the first frame that he didn't feel it was his night. That rather left Slessor to try and feel worthwhile afterwards (amusingly, he said he thought Kyren had been better over the first 6-8 frames). Lilley looked old enough to be a contemporary of Steve Davis, and credit to him for making a fight of it. RE: UK Championships - Doddle - 03-12-2025 21:03 Robbo looked imperious, and his chat after winning was very much "the table is smashing, thanks". Pang stunned Mark Williams, and also John Parrott and Steve Davis in the same respect. RE: UK Championships - Joannis - 04-12-2025 07:16 There have been 11 different winners in 11 tournaments this season. Who is to say Pang won't go on and win it. Or how about Judd Trump, he hasn't won anything yet this season. Fantastic performance from Judd, making a 117 break en route to a 6-3 victory over Si Jiahui. Unlike Ronnie, Selby made no mistake against Zhou Yuelong. Breaks of 71 and 75 in the last 2 frames helped Selby to a comfortable 6-2 victory. |
