Flying start to the season for Judd Trump, making a 125 and a 127 in a 6-2 victory over Neil Robertson.
Zhang Anda made a 147, but lost 6-5 to Ding Junhui.

Zhao Xintong kicked off his season with a 6-2 victory over Chris Wakelin. It was 2-2 at the interval but Zhao made a 103 break that kicked off a 4 frame winning streak.
Ronnie 6 Hawkins 5
Ronnie made a 67 break in the deciding frame to win a closely fought match.Sadly Carter beat Mark William 6-5. Xiao Guodong beat Higgins 6-4.

It will be a battle of the last two World Champions in the semi finals.
Kyren Wilson saw off Ronnie O'Sullivan 6-3 while Zhou Xintong blasted past compatriot Ding Junhui 6-1.
Mark Selby claimed an excellent 6-4 victory over Judd Trump. He will face Ali Carter in the last four after a 6-5 win over Xiao Guodong.

Kyren Wilson blasted his way past World champion Zhou Xintong 10-5 to reach the final. Zhou led 5-4 at the end of the first session but The Warrior stormed to six frames in a row to get the win.

Thankfully Kyren beat Carter 11-9 to win the Shanghai Masters. Carter very nearly levelled the score at 10 each, but Kyren made a 32 clearance to win the 20th frame on the black.

Thank goodness for that.
It was bad enough the Misery winning the Championship League. If Carter had won a tournament as well it would have just been ridiculously unbearable to witness.
