Your statement is incorrect. Water isn't made up of hydrogen and oxygen as you said. Water is the molecule H2O and that means that the hydrogen and oxygen have combined - it's very different from being a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen.

Hydrogen is very flammable when it is in the form of hydrogen molecules and oxygen aids combustion of a fire when it is in the form of oxygen molecules. But when the two are combined in the chemical compound H20 then the molecules are neither of hydrogen nor of oxygen, but of a different thing altogether, so they therefore take on the properties of that different thing (i.e. water) and not those of molecular hydrogen and molecular oxygen.

Because glue sets by drying out and there isn't enough air inside the bottle to dry it. But try leaving the cap off the bottle and you will see that the glue does then set and stick to the inside of the bottle.

If you accept the theory of evolution the egg came before the chicken. This is because a species evolves into another species by genetic mutation, which occurs when eggs etc are created. That means that when chickens first existed they could only have come into being by chicken eggs being laid first. It's biologically impossible for chickens to have ever existed without chicken eggs having existed first to hatch into chickens, but it's not impossible for chicken eggs to have existed without chickens, as a previous species could have laid those (mutant) eggs instead of its own eggs. That's how evolution works, a species becomes another species through creating offspring which have mutated during the reproduction process. It's like saying what came first, humans with green eyes or human embryos with green eyes. Obviously the human embryos came first.

I was told a story once about a channel who had seen a few of their better girls depart at about the same time. Following this they decided to get behind a girl who was still with them and give her plenty of screentime, thinking that this was her chance to move into the space vacated by others and be their next big thing.

However it turned out that even with a great amount of screentime and at the best hours too her call stats were very disappointing compared to those who had left and her hours were therefore cut back again. The hopes for had not materialised and they had to move her back to more of a supporting role than a major player.

This story shows that being on the longest won't necessarily make someone's call stats good, even when the best hours for calls are included in a girl's screen appearances. In short if anyone's on air for long hours they are going to need to run up some pretty good call stats if they are going to keep those long hours.

If a person owns a piece of land,do they own it all the way down to the core of the earth?

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

If a man is talking in a forest and a woman is not around to hear him,is he still wrong?

it depends on whether the owner of the land bought just the surface of the land or whether he bought its mines and minerals. if the landowner has the mines and mineral rights then yes he does own it all the way down to the core of the earth, although in practice there is no way of actually mining that deep.

in the uk it is common that someone will own the surface of the land but someone else will own the mines and minerals. note that even if you own the mines and minerals to a piece of land and therefore own it all the way down to the core of the earth you still don't get any oil, gas, coal, gold or silver, because in the uk those things are the property of the state.

Nothing sticks to Teflon but it stays on the pan because rather than being stuck there it's baked on at very high temperature. There is no chemical bonding process, the heat alone wedges the two substances together.
