Nope looks legit he can no longer get medical clearance to wrestle.
Came as quite the shock even though he has lost his "edge" over the last couple of years he will be missed would be nice to see him still involved in the wwe in some capacity. Hopefully this will mean Christian will at least now get a title run even if it is a brief one

It was quite sudden, I thought (I don't read wrestling sites on a Monday to avoid spoilers) but it's definitely not a work. Although I didn't really become a fan of his until quite late on in his career, you can't deny that he had a hell of a run.
It probably won't happen soon as the WWE will want to continue to promote Tough Enough, but after his guest commentary on Smackdown last week I would like to see Edge replace Booker T at the announce table.

i reckon that is what they will do,have him as an announcer,and now Christian can win the title as early as Extreme Rules,but will probably be Del Rio cause everyone thought he would have won at Mania,but now it's his time to shine and feud with Christian,and with Edge gone maybe Drew McIntyre will get a look in,and maybe even Sin Cara,good debut lastnight,even though he messed up his finisher

Glad they let him say his peace even if some of it broke kayfabe, he's had an excellent career was always good as a face or a heel, they'll miss him greatly.

While Not my fave Wrestler Edge has been great from the days of the brood to the days of edge an Christian right though to the R-Rated superstar phase will be sorry to see him go but health comes first.
Yet People like Hogan dont seem to think so the more an more i read about Hogan the more he wrecks his own History here is his tweet about edge retiring.

but I don't know Edges working environment because they are a media company not a wrestling company. HH wrestlers work hurt!
Yet half the people he listed are dead if they had listerned to the docs they may still be alive Hogan is a douche.

i only ask because i was thinking about the "E-C-W" chant, and how tna also sounds good, but wwe doesn't really work as a chant, so i was just wondering, other than single wrestler chants (let's go cena/cena sucks etc.) what is your favourite wrestling chant?
i quite like "holy shit" after a big move and of course, "E-C-W!"
