RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - beardedbob - 06-12-2010 21:21 this is what dider drogba had to say when he heard the news RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - Paulie69 - 06-12-2010 21:35 My boss is a geordie and he was pretty shellshocked at this news. Hughton got them up, and they're mid-table, having already beaten Chelsea in a cup & Arsenal in the league, what more does Ashley want? Knowing him he'll probably employ Ant & Dec as joint managers ![]() Stability is what is needed. Look at Ferguson, at one time he was on the brink of getting the boot and look at the success he's had since. Apparently Alan Pardew is favourite for the job ![]() RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - cosmonaut - 06-12-2010 22:41 Ashley really hasn't got a clue has he? He'll need to come up with a big name manager now or end up looking very silly. RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - StridentOnanist - 08-12-2010 10:14 So Mike Ashley wants a bigger name manager, does he? Just heard on Talksport that Alan Pardew is headed to Tyneside for talks. Is he even a big name boss? - I wouldn't have thought so. It's almost as if Ashley enjoys the ridicule. ![]() RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - colino - 09-12-2010 10:10 (06-12-2010 22:41 )cosmonaut Wrote: Ashley really hasn't got a clue has he? As far as Ashley looking silly goes, if he does name Pardew it's clear that he doesn't care about how stupid he looks. How is Alan Pardew a step up from Houghton? More like two steps backwards IMO. Alledgedly a FIVE YEAR contract in the offing as well, obviously Pardew comes dirt cheap. I reckon Ashley is giving the Newcastle fans a slap, trying to remind them who's in charge. Best of luck with that one then, even Newcastle fans will only take so much. RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - bigguy01 - 09-12-2010 14:17 pardew is the new manager it has been confirmed. newcastle in the championship again and i dont think that the players will play with full conmitment for pardew or ashley. RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - Charlemagne - 09-12-2010 14:34 Pardew was sacked a the manager of Southampton, so he's the obvious guy to take on the challenge of Newcastle.. I can see a few of the player leaving in January. Bet Nolan moves to Blackburn. RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - Mr. Wayne - 09-12-2010 20:09 Wow, Alan Pardew on a 5 and a half year contract.....................there are no words RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - n01scruff - 10-12-2010 00:53 Absolutely genius negotitating by Pardew and his agent it has to be said. £750,000 a year for 5 and a half years. Thats £4,000,000 in the bank when he gets sacked in May!! RE: Chris Hughton Leaves Newcastle - bobek - 10-12-2010 00:57 Pardew is just another Dennis Wise. Another member of the Ashley/Llambias casino club. Some interesting rumours flying around re abnormal betting patterns prior to Hughton's dismissal too.... |
