didn't see that coming last night - Brendan Rodgers resigned as Celtic Boss, and the the statement put out by the owner certainly does seem to lay the blame firmly and squarely at Brendan's feet.

I would be more inclined to stick with the first four names in your list and just have a big four, but when you think about it, Aberdeen are also waiting to win another title after a long gap.

It really is hard to call Dundee United a big 5 team they have had a few relegations under there belt recently , even Hearts themselves had one.

To me you can only be considered a big 5 team if you don't get relegated , can you imagine that happening to a big 6 team in the English Premier League , never will.
This was what the scene looked like to me c.1986 and I'm not bothered to update it.

Wow, did Chris Sutton put the 'fluence on him too? Surprised

you haven't forgotten that both Manchester United, Manchester City and Spurs have been relegated in the pre-Premier League era.

I doubt it, but a lot depends if Brendan feels if he has to respond to the statement.

Whaddyaknow, Celtic and Rangers bounce back to winning ways, whilst Hearts get held by St Mirren.

The mighty St Mirren won their Cup semi-final too!

Dunfermline beat Ayr last night; Hamilton held East Fife to a draw today; East Stirling managed to lose their bottom-of-the-table clash with the less-than-fearsome Gretna.

At least Hamilton got a good home win today, so maybe they'll still have time to make it to the play offs (or get docked more points, who knows, eh?)

Spoke too soon, Hamilton lost at bottom side Cove 2-1.
