I'm sure when Ronnie firdt burst onto the scene e probably we all probably thought his ego was far bigger than his personality and playing style. Nowadays his ego is still there but he seems much more melllow and honest now.
Every player goes through a period of losss of form and with Ronnie I would wager this season hasn't been on of his better ones.
However a title win will probabably put him in a strong frqme of mind for the world championships.
I think Tubs winning the world championship probably will not give snooker a good look, but i'd like to think snooker would benefit from a complete unknown winning it this year.

Ronnie has always had an ego but he could always back it up on the table
where as tubs has an ego and always went out in the early rounds in the worlds
i mean its 20 years since he won the worlds
