RE: UFC - Bandwagon - 17-11-2015 00:57 ^^ It's the lack of respect that sweetened her eventual defeat for many a UFC fan. But on the same token it's worth remembering that it also helps sell tickets. I've never really been a huge fan of Rhonda, however, my view did slightly change after her previous fight against the Brazilian Bethe Correia. That girl chatted so much shit that I was willing Rhonda to bang her out, and she did. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but her defeat didn't actually come as such a surprise to me. For whatever reason and despite her record, I was never utterly convinced. She reminds me a little of Chris Weidman, another unconvincing champion. So to backup my statement; I predict he too will meet a sticky end in the not too distant future of similar dramatic fashion. I'm not talking about a real championship war, reminiscent to that of Jones vs Gustafsson, I'm talking about an embarrassing ass whooping, similar to that of Rhonda. RE: UFC - Ro1982 - 10-12-2015 02:26 Whos everyone goin with for UFC 194 McGregor v Aldo? I'd pick McGregor, Rockhold, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, Gunnar Nelson and Max Holloway to be the winners on the night! RE: UFC - Bandwagon - 10-12-2015 10:16 ^ I'd say McGregor and Rockhold...... ![]() RE: UFC - Ducky - 10-12-2015 16:29 (10-12-2015 02:26 )Ro1982 Wrote: Whos everyone goin with for UFC 194 McGregor v Aldo? I'm gonna say Aldo & Weidman to win, but agree with your other picks ![]() RE: UFC - sting - 11-12-2015 00:15 sage northcutt had a good first ufc win so looking forward to seeing his fight tonight. vanzant and namajunas will be a scrappy one - very hard to call that one i think. i hope aldo wins this weekend but conor winning wouldn't surprise me, good luck to both. aldo could lose knowing he has left a great legacy, man is a legend. can't wait for it. RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 12-12-2015 14:20 very much hope McGregor wins it's good to see a British fighter at the top of the tree in a UFC division RE: UFC - terence - 12-12-2015 14:22 ^ he's irish mate. #just sayin. ![]() RE: UFC - lovebabes56 - 12-12-2015 15:34 I know he is mate but he's going to give Aldo one or two problems RE: UFC - Bandwagon - 12-12-2015 16:55 Well I'm supporting the gobby Irishman ![]() I just think his range, southpaw stance along with his power will be too much for Aldo. In Aldo's last outing he got his face proper mangled by Mendes. McGregor hits harder than Mendes. But like any sport, anything can happen so let's see and I'm really looking forward to this one! RE: UFC - robert.f4 - 12-12-2015 22:22 My money is on Aldo, but its true that McGregor is a bit unorthodox in his stance etc, He has an iron left that is a stopper but its readable, there is a predictability in his style that I think Aldo will work well with and counter. |
