Like I said, it was gamesmanship the slap at the weigh in. He is a serious under dog and it was a case of trying to unsettle him. Not clever, not big, but they are about to go toe to toe in a boxing ring, in the grand scheme of things is a slap that bad? Also the want fighters to go head to head, they are after this kind of thing, it only boosts the ratings. Again I'm not saying it's clever or a good idea. The spit in the face is no worse then Wladimir going in and asking for him to be re-gloved. I seem to remember this is a tactic the Klitchkows have used in the past. Again, gamesmanship on both parts. The post match, again I'm not saying Dereck should come out of it looking like an angel, but it was a post match interview with regards to the fight. Not the David Haye show part 12. ![]() RE: Boxing - 199lives - 19-02-2012 20:31 Chisora's problem is he's still trying to be the playground bully but he's playing with people who aren't scared. Your brushing off Chisora acting like a dick as gamesmanship, yet Haye trying to talk is way into a fight is being a bitch why isn't that gamesmanship. Haye was arguing with a promoter from across a room it could have easily been brushed off and moved on and nothing would have have been said chisora choose to take it further and pick a fight. RE: Boxing - Money_Shot - 19-02-2012 20:40 The reason i see Haye acting so out of order is because he isn't a boxer. He is retired now. Or was that just a gimmick and another stunt to crave the lime light? Attention seeking. Haye made his decision to quit fighting when he got to the age of 31. I have no issues with that, he done a lot in boxing and for boxing. Now he is just acting like a spoilt brat because negotiations for a possible bout with Vitali Klitschko on 3 March didn't materialise. Chisora got the fight, fought well and he threw his toys out the pram. He should perhaps have a press conference and announce he is to renew his licence then start calling the shots. As for Chisora, I'm not saying he wasn't acting like a dick. I'm just saying when people like Froch come out and slate him but not Haye I think it's one sided and harsh. They were both idiots. 199lives - For what it's worth, I'd like to see Tyson Fury destroy David Haye, beat up Chisora again and take a shot at the Klitchkows ![]() RE: Boxing - cosmonaut - 20-02-2012 19:59 (19-02-2012 19:42 )Money_Shot Wrote: cosmonaut - If a Jamie Redknapp went into a post match interview and started mouthing off would that be okay, because he was there with $ky ? Of course not. Haye had no right what so ever to gatecrash the post match interview like he did. He is the disgrace yet as usual he comes out of it okay! I can't see what Haye did wrong. He only started talking when his name got mentioned. Chisora has to take the blame for this whole incident. As soon as he got up and came down from the platform there was always a good chance of trouble happening. Even after Haye had left, Chisora continued with his bad behaviour, threatening to burn Haye and then shoot Haye. I'm happy to exonerate Haye of any blame, as he's done nothing more than attend a press conference that he was accredited to attend and spoke out when his name was brought up. RE: Boxing - Money_Shot - 20-02-2012 21:46 We will have to disagree then Cosmonaut because from where I'm sitting he should never have been allowed to attend that press conference. Haye went in their DEMANDING a fight with Klitschko, Haye isn't a boxer any more lest we forget. However you dress it up with his "accredited media pass" Haye didn't have any need to be in that room other then to stir trouble. He got more then he bargained for and attacked Chisora. Chisora should never have got up out of his seat and risen to Haye's pathetic whining. Chisora was bang out of order yes but he certainly wasn't to blame because if that ego driven cock face didn't get involved none of this would have happened. Chisora should probably receive a years ban (minimum) and David Haye shouldn't be allowed to renew his license. RE: Boxing - Suurbier - 21-02-2012 11:11 If this turns out to be pre-meditated then ban them and their management teams for life RE: Boxing - manic street pugilist - 29-02-2012 01:32 The WBC has banned Dereck Chisora indefinitely for brawling with David Haye after his challenge for Vitali Klitschko's heavyweight title in Munich. The ban prevents Chisora fighting for a WBC title but is not binding on other governing bodies in boxing. There was no censure or punishment for Haye, who says he was acting in self-defence and has been supported in that view by the German boxing authorities. Boxing chat and discussion - dan g 27 - 04-05-2012 21:23 If anyone is interested a fight has been arranged this summer between David Haye and Derek Chisora RE: Boxing chat and discussion - 199lives - 04-05-2012 21:37 (04-05-2012 21:23 )dan g 27 Wrote: If anyone is interested a fight has been arranged this summer between David Haye and Derek Chisora really, has this been comfirmed. Didn't think it would generate enough money to interest Haye. think haye would be too fast and stay at distance land big shots late on. although was impressed with Chisora vs Vitali.
