RE: Fury V Usyk 1 - Who wins? - lovebabes56 - 24-12-2024 22:47 I would think many now think he is unbeatable and certainly has been impressive. Very few cruiserweights have made the successful jump and become HW champion (I don't think the division has been in existence all that long either), tbh, Usyk has proven it can be a real succcessful jump to make if you are prepared to apply yourself to the switch and are willing to make a go of it. What are we talking in extra weigh from cruiser, an extra 40-50 ilbs maybe? I would think Usyk would probably retire well before the end of 2025 and I also would think it would be a stunning list of retirements If Usyk, Fury & AJ all retired at the same time on the same day. I think Usyk will probably call it quits if & when he beats both Parker & Dubois - to me thwy are the only real fights left for him (and imost likely immediately retire if he did temptWilder out of retirement for a legacy fight). Then we would be looking at a new series of fights for all championship belts, then one untisputed championship fight in 2025, I think if Allan got revenge over Fisher I certainly would think he would be in the mix somewhere. RE: Fury V Usyk 1 - Who wins? - Tumble_Drier - 24-12-2024 22:58 Let's call a spade a spade. Fury looked like he trained entirely on pies while Usyk actually turned up looking like an Athlete. Fury's only chance was a knock-out but it never looked remotely likely. Ultimately, Usyk deserved his win. I hope it's the last we've seen of Fury, but I doubt it. RE: Fury V Usyk 1 - Who wins? - lovebabes56 - 24-12-2024 23:26 I highly doubut it, but I'd say it's all down to whether Frank can even convince him to retire - he must know deep down he is finished at world (& what I would also call 'Elite') level. I wouldn't be very suprised if he was to even make a legal challenge about the scoring. |
